  • I wanna ditch the unFFOS and be in control of all of my os, not just where the big companies that make it want me to be in control. I pay quite a few fees to live commercial free, and now they are using my login splashscreen to offload Xbox game pass.... Also, how about some banners about office365 in your start menu? I paid for this os, you bunch of potatopeels! I Tried Ubuntu back in the day, around 10 years ago and it was fine (except for gaming), but I hear everyone here is pretty stoked about Mint for starters, so I'll start there.

Also recently bought Ableton Live because LMMS is not capable enough. You win some you lose some

  • Hahahaha, when I grew up, I though it was pretty neat that my mom did all the chores at home and, basically, worked (as a household raising mother) from home in 1995. Loosely translated, we have a non-derogatory word for it in dutch: House-spouse or House-woman. When asked at school what I wanted to be when i grew up: House-spouse/House-man!

  • Even when you consider the differences in addiction/habit forming? Do you feel the same way about morphine and heroin and their derivatives, that we should either legalize all or nothing?

It might be useful for an inbetween period, first we legalize softdrugs and ban all extremely addictive stuff, then after a year or 5 we open all the gates.

I don't even know if I'm for a complete ban but it sounded refreshing to have a smoker free generation, is such a low quality drug as well..

  • I ask ChatGPT to roleplay as my 90s sitcom programming teachers Chip Bytefield, makes me giggle a lot more when I use it for 'poor mans' peer programming :-). Gonna try your idea too, sound fun!

  • In your title you do mention "good games" were absent for a period, while you probably mean: "Mario games with the classic style", that's where a lot of miscommunication is coming from.

Nintendo pricing (especially further removed from launch) is pretty much space-magic.

I can relate tot odyssey graphics being more 'hollywood', but after I was a bit disappointed with sunshine (and have since come around to love it), I immediately fell in love with galaxy. Then galaxy 2 came around, wow. While it's style is more modern then SM64, it does not feel as out of place as odyssey graphics to me. It felt too easy, but all Mario games feel too easy, I'm just a better platform-player nowadays.

  • I'm not a bot, but here is the summary of this article:

Foldables are new and have low user number because of the steep price. So most devs are not keeping foldables in mind yet while designing UI. That creates a situation where you buy a premium device but have subpremium experiences.

  • I learned to drink coffee with chocolate milk mixed in, then after a week black coffee was palatable. Parents drank excessive levels so it was always available, no one had milk or sugar in it so.. I guess I learned it fast out of convenience :-)

  • Thx, this was an easy way to test this out! Pretty much confirmed what I already thought I knew. The nice booming base in Dark Horse threw me off :-) but I managed to get 5/6 correct. Listened with UMC404HD powering my ATH-M50x, which makes its literally HUNDREDS of dollars of equipment. When I power those headphones off my phone via apple DAC, I don't think it would be audible. How did you do on this test?
