  • Christmas gifts unless you actually communicate and confirm what someone wants (which based on my culture can be seen as rude) seems so pointless. Just buying short term garbage for the sake of “giving”.

  • Maybe they meant it like “there is now stress for helping pay for college at a higher cost than when they were born.” Or being stressed knowing if the family lives in a HCOL area (typically where those salaries are offered), they might not be able to live there as well with the current trends in housing costs.

TLDR: things have changed for the worst for newer generations, parents can see it.

  • I would suggest docker compose before a UI to someone that likes to work via the command line.

Many popular docker repositories also automatically give docker run equivalents in compose format, so the learning curve is not as steep vs what it was before for learning docker or docker compose commands.

  • Sounds like a case of some edge lord marketing senior director idiot thinking any publicity is good publicity.

This will bring awareness to the brand and we can dismiss it as “omg, we totally started the campaign before the elimination of Palestinians”.

Even if Israel had not attacked or responded to attacks or whatever you want to call it, you have to be pretty tone deaf to think images of rubble and dead mannequins would be a good look given the current events elsewhere in the world. Dumbasses.

  • They released Twitter Bootstrap a while ago for "HTML, CSS, and Javascript for popular user interface components and interactions", to this day, it is hard going to a website that doesn't integrate in some way it at least once a day. The source code for lemmy.world's CSS says it is using Bootstrap for example:
