• Most likely, the "Wi-Fi speed" the Reddit poster needs to improve is the data rate, not latency.
• The data rate can be improved significantly by increasing RSSI with a better physical setup, WDS, higher power etc. However, if the rate is too low at full bars, the bottleneck is the ISP plan or hardware specs.
• The latency cannot really be improved without changing hardware or software, as the highest impact one can influence is in processing by the router and device. Some settings such as DNS cache size can improve latency in some cases with some downsides.

It's especially good for the Czech Republic, the rest is just an OSM reskin (still good though). If you stop updating at 9.55.2 (9550200), you will still get the premium feature (multi-country offline maps) for free and without downsides, AFAIK. However, they have stopped server support for old versions before and it's pretty much impossible to unofficially import the map data without root.

Such buildings allow for great efficiency (it probably has its own stop on some kind of rail transit and still a reasonable cost of living) and that includes pizza delivery. Imagine delivering multiple orders a minute. The salary (and tips, even outside the US) would be great. They will probably even allow you to call the elevator with an app before you walk to it for extra speed.

On the Three Magi Day, we see lots of children playing them and caroling in an official charity event. Yes, Balthasar often has dark makeup to more closely match his historical depiction and it's not racist. (I have talked to the single Black person in my town and they don't mind.) Black people are a bit of a curiosity much like in the Middle Ages, and the attitude hasn't changed much. It's only people in Prague who are indifferent (except they will default to English), people outside Prague are like "what brought you here?" "oh, interesting". The real racism is against the Romani and Muslims: most people will think "this guy is here to steal stuff / blow something up" but in Prague they will keep it to themselves.

Interesting that the post is showing Prague. I think it's a nod to the influx of Czech users after our most popular map app, Mapy.cz by Seznam.cz, underwent enshittification to accomodate a premium tier.

Unfortunately it's full of crypto and conspiracy weirdos so you really need to create your own curated feed to only watch science/tech videos (or whatever you like).

Yes, which is why voting is not enough: you have to campaign for the candidates you want to see. The ranked-choice system would fix this but that's off-limits for now.

I have a torrent client in a country where nobody cares so I can get all the shows but I don't.

However, I recently found an old sat box in the trash. The house still has a dish pointed at the Astra 3B (most of Europe) satellite for my grandparents' TV so I plugged it in and it can still tune in to some FTA channels that use the old MPEG-2 SD standard. They're all German, haha. I use it to browse teletext for nostalgia, I bought a hopefully compatible capture card and I'll try to archive some of it with vhs-teletext before most SD channels' broadcast shuts down for good in 2025. I found lots of auto-updated or non-updated headlines, hundreds of phone sex ads, SMS chat rooms (kind of shitty IRC where receiving is 100% anonymous but sending is $0.50 per message), use guides to analog satellite broadcast and ShowView VCR codes (how is that still running?) and found out that Germans still import like ¼ of their TV fairytales from the Czech Republic for some reason (never the other way around though).

On ProSieben, my good old method for "skipping" ads still works. I'll be making a video about it and editing it in Movie Maker style like I'm 12 and it's 2007. My TV is that old and I can use a badly inserted RF connection to pretend analog is still running.

The time to vote for someone good is the primaries, which set what the dichotomy of the actual election is going to be like. In the November dichotomy, voting for the lesser evil is kinda the only option unless you want Big Evil to win.

Yes, it would be better to "merge" the main election and primaries into a ranked-choice vote but that's not happening anytime soon.
