Dunno if it will be specifically Christie, but I went and registered as a republican just so I can vote for the least insane one in the primaries. Obv won't be voting republican in the election itself, just doing what I can.

At the end of the day, the root cause of bigotry is cowardice. Maybe stupidity and indoctrination got them where they are, but for 100% of them, it's cowardice that's keeping them there.

That might be your bank. My bank is as annoying as you describe, but it is as secure as you're saying it should be. 2FA, they hold up suspicious purchases to see if it's really me, I can lock and unlock my cards from the app. Smaller banks tend to be the way to go, or credit unions if you have a good one nearby.

That is not what those words in that order mean. Most MAGA people are too dumb to pass a GED, but that doesn't mean 100% of them are. I'm 100% sure the MAGA aero guys would fail the history section of the GED, but in all honesty they are good aerospace engineers as far as I can tell. I just wouldn't have them over for dinner if you know what I mean.

This doesn't surprise me at all. I'm an aerospace engineer and I know MAGA aerospace engineers and if Trump were to say something along the lines of "we're gonna cut the cost of designing an aircraft by loosening the safety requirements", they would be able to articulate exactly why we shouldn't do that. Their inability to translate that into things like deadly virus precautions is another matter but when they know he's wrong, they know.

If you're gonna use both for now, I would recommend downloading an ad blocker. AdGuard and ublock origin (the word origin is important, there is a knockoff called ublock) are both good. It was greed that motivated Reddit to pull this shit, might as well deny them ad revenue.

I would say it's more like when a bunch of friends collectively break up with toxic partners and have a big meeting to talk about it. It'll die down after a while. People on Reddit don't really talk about Digg anymore.

Make sure you're willing to abruptly lose your Reddit account if you do. Reddit admins are being pretty cunthroat about this all.
