  • Sometimes I get angry that there is nothing legal I can do to cause financial harm for certain companies. The quest that can happen is me stopping the consumption of their products, bit what is I want doing it in the first place?

  • I mean, every irrational number used in computation is reliable to a certain level of precision. Just because the current (heh) methods aren't precise enough doesn't mean they'll never be.

  • May I propose a dedicated circuit (analog because you can only ever approximate their value) that stores and returns transcendental/irrational numbers exclusively? We can just assume they're going to be whatever value we need whenever we need them.

  • I have a deep hatred for companies that used to create responsive software pivoting info feature bloat over time. Discord used to be blazing fast. It proved that you could design software based on chromium without it being slow and unresponsive.

    What happened? It's just as crappy as everything else nowadays. Every new feature that gets added reduces performance by less than 1% so nobody gives a shit?

    Same for apple. They don't care that all those cool iOS additions keep making the phone slower. But I do and that's why I prefer custom OS. Nobody will decide that this feature is worth x amount of memory/battery/whatever but me.

  • No sleep tips I followed ever made me feel rested if I went to sleep before 12PM. The only way is to take a nap and sleep from 1AM to 7AM. Nobody suggests doing that though, for some reason...

    Gotta acknowledge that these tips work for people who have average sleep habits, ones least likely to have bad sleep habits.

  • That's what happens to me when I don't shove enough water into my throat before bedtime. Your body flushes all the bad stuff out and has no water left in the morning. You can either stop eating salty foods (or food in general) before bedtime, or split your sleep into several parts.
