SNW is really top tier production quality across the board. The camera work, the sound, music, design, everything is goddamned impeccable, and that extends to the post production. So much thought goes into every part of it, and I really have to give Paramount its kudos for enabling that level of attention to detail in all aspects of the franchise right now. If I told a fellow Trekkie in the 90s that we would ever see the day, they would laugh.
If you like that reality garbage, I won't yuck your yum, but I enjoyed not having to see any of it. I miss being able to forget that shit like Obese Hoarder Wars or Little Person with 13 Kids exists.
Having to configure settings all over again on every single device pissed me off, especially since the new app didn't even have subtitles customization of any kind. As someone who uses subtitles for almost all viewing, nothing turns me off of a streaming service faster than being stuck with shitty black bars and gigantic blocky text by default and being unable to change it.
And for fuck's sake, nobody likes video previews with sound, and you can take your credit-skipping autoplay and shove it up your corporate ass.
I sign into "max" now and get bombarded on the home screen with basic cable reality show trash, and every time that happens it just makes me want to use it less. The only thing keeping me coming back is the occasional Soderbergh project and an as-of-yet still decent catalogue of movies, though even that has dropped off noticeably.
I would drop my subscription if it wasn't bundled into my phone plan.
I definitely notice it with a push mower, but there's also the issue of the grass blades themselves always being cut in one direction. That'll produce a noticable effect over time if you don't vary mowing vector.
Are mugshots public record in Fulton County? In many places they are not released unless the person is on the lam and there's a need to release a recent image.
Yep, there they are. It's less noticable because everyone wears pants/leggings under them, unlike in TOS/TNG, where a skirt/skant meant bare legs. The effect is almost more like a long tunic or jacket.
Maybe Pike keeps the ship's environmental settings a little colder than the others, so nobody wants to free the knees.
Credit is definitely owed to Discovery for giving us this iteration of Pike, Una, and Spock. Flawed and uneven as that show is, they did hit this one out of the park.
Just grabbed it and it's working great so far. I'm not really clear on the pros/cons of using a native app vs a web app, but so far the experience is pretty much identical.
Edit: I'll also add that if there's ever a "premium" version that's just the same app only paid so people can support it with their dollars, I will be happy to use my Google Play points on that.
We haven't come back from his actual four years yet, and probably won't for a very long time. The prospect of him returning to finish the country off is a nightmare.
