Yep. I've done some drives in various cars as well. But will continue to look around and do test drives.
I'm also looking at getting hybrid as their fuel economy is pretty much through the roof (and I heard it's less maintenance other than replacing the traction battery every once in a while).
Financially speaking this might be most sensible option, due to how much we are paying to rent cars... I love seeing my wife have huge smile on her face whenever we arrive at some forest or park.
That said, I also received another quote from another novated lease provider. First line of the email said 12 months wait lol.
Anyone here have suggestions/know of an unbiased financial advisor?
We’re paying way too much on car rental now so looking to replace that with our own car.
Tossing up between buying a brand new 2023 Corolla hybrid sedan for $37k driveaway, getting a used 2020 Corolla hybrid hatch with 52000km for $30k driveaway (but my wife and I collectively agree that the 2023 option would be better). From dealer.
Also tossing up between a novated lease vs a People Choice Credit Union car loan (not doing cash anymore). Have trouble doing a true comparison taking into account the balloon payment but from my limited abilities, it seems like the CU is cheaper when factoring in that $11k novated balloon.
In the Melbourne CBD, on Lonsdale St with the 90º median parking. Two people on opposite sides pulled halfway into a spot, blocking a lane in each direction, including some cops in a marked car.
Lights come on and three cops got out of the car, the driver was like ¯(ツ)_/¯ arms up high and kicked them both out of the parking spot, then went about their day moments later.
The car that was in front of me / behind the cops then promptly took that spot.
I'm not sure if it helps, but for the occassions if you really need one, Popcar rental could be a good option for the short term, they have a promo at the moment ending in 4 days as well, or Kinto (more expensive but their cars are much better and the Corolla I've been driving has radar)
So I got a smartwatch (Galaxy Watch 6) off the Samsung EPP.
It registered very high stress levels during social events and... work meetings including those where I don't have to speak much, and medium/low while driving, and it barely registered any reading when chatting about anything and everything to my wife.
In reality I feel the complete opposite, idgaf much about the social event (only there because I drove my wife there), the work meeting is just a regular design walkthrough/planning/standup/etc, nothing serious, and I still feel a little bit nervous driving lol.
Mmm... Shin Ramyun spicy noodles?
