  • Earlier you wrote,

Almost certainly - but that is what I agreed to when I bought the TV.

And wrote that they should at least let you select an input without agreeing to new terms.

Now someone attempts to offer you a solution where you only need to agree to those original terms and get a separate streaming device like you asked for and you brush them off?

The situation with roku is unacceptable but please be reasonable with the people trying to help.

  • It's hard to trust someone I've never met. I don't want to travel either but I want to understand the people I work with in a way that's only possible when we share space.

It's work. It's not always fun but that's too be expected.

  • I always knew I could let the shower warm up but it seemed wasteful and I found the cold invigorating so I did it that way until about 40. Something shifted and it was unpleasant instead of invigorating. Signs of getting old I guess.

  • Cool thing is you can train your flight or fight response with things like cold plunges to be more useful. Cold showers might be a way to reduce your unneeded response to harmless things like phone calls.

  • You show signs you like her and see how she responds. You write like you want women to offer themselves up and you pick which one you want. Nah... You offer yourself and see if she's into it. Be subtle enough she's not sure if you're interested at first and ramp up until presence or lack of mutual interest becomes clear.

If the vibe turns sexy awkward ask her out. If it turns icky awkward just stop. Letting her go gracefully when she's not into you is key. If you over invest or don't drop it you'll get labeled creepy.

  • Base level: get a good lock, lock to something sturdy in a visible location. Put a cable on the seat and through the front wheel. Register the serial number with police and hide an air tag on it.

Next level: cover your bike in stickers or hit it with spray paint in a few spots. Swap out components for kitchy ones or mark them up. Go wild with reflective paint on the tires.

Elite level... Hang out with bike punks. Ride with them and learn their ways. Even if your bike is stolen chances are it makes it's way back to you.

  • He says he's a Finn. He was born in Finland. He lived in Finland until he emigrated to the USA.

Then you say he's actually Swedish because he knows the language, his dad was from Sweden, and "Marie Curie". Bizarre.

  • I've met him. He says he's Finnish. He was born in Finland and attended school in Finland. He graduated from the University of Helsinki. He has since moved to the United States of America. So he's a little bit American now.
