  • The SK soldiers' hearts were not in it. They were given orders, but nobody was actually going to do anything to stop the Parliament from getting in, and everyone knew it.

MAGA thugs are absolutely willing to use violence against Democrat lawmakers. They already have.

Given your post history, I already know what your reply will be, but post it anyway.

  • Your wife is going to be grabbed out of your home and thrown into an unmarked SUV and you will never see her again. And you'll let it happen because you would rather be a slave to a regime than confront the fact that you're wrong.

  • For those that don't know, even for basic gun ownership in New Jersey you need to acquire an ownership license, which needs to be signed off by the local police chief (or the State Police chief if your town doesn't have a police department). Carry permits are a similar, but significantly more stringent process.

In theory, they cannot arbitrarily deny applications and must process them in a timely manner.

In practice, there is a big difference between getting a permit in Clifton and getting a permit in Paterson. Certain municipalities have a tendency to sit on applications for months and then claim they lost the paperwork or something wasn't right and you have to start from 0 after you raise a stink. It may be racially motivated, it may be anti-gun motivated, maybe a bit of both. Straightening them out usually requires suing them.

  • I mean this in the most endearing way I can, without a shred of malice.

This is the most autistic thing I've read in a hot minute. I can't help but laugh thinking about the train of thought that led you to post this. Based scalie enjoyer, I guess.

  • Someone else got it right before me: he doesn't like the standard "stately" pose in the first one. It makes him look too friendly and weak.

He likes the forward hunch and disdainful glare. It's sinister. He likes being perceived that way. Many egomaniacal dictators liked being perceived that way.

  • I haven't powered on my switch in years, but when I used it, 99% of the time it was docked with a TV, so the battery life and screen didn't matter to me. I would think that's the best setup for family gaming anyway.

The cartridge/download code is a step down in ownership of your games, but that's been a lost battle for years. Steam is widely seen as the standard for gaming, and you are only buying a conditional license when you buy a game on that platform, you don't own those either. This change only really matters if you, personally, rip games from disks/cartridges.

  • She first came in as a student in 78 but applied for asylum later. And that kind of thing can take a long time to process, years even.

To put it more directly, accepting her request would be a tacit admission that US foreign policy made Iran a more dangerous place, not by accident, but as a side effect of its success.

  • Likely because her reasoning and fears were at odds with our geopolitics. It'd be like us accepting South Korean refugees for their fear of North Korean reprisal...if North Korea had largely been subsumed and the war was over for several years.

  • It is becoming glaringly obvious that the purpose the Democratic Party serves for at least the last two decades is to quash any progressive aspiration. If they learn anything, it will be that they need to stomp down harder.

On that note, if this guy manages to actually win the election he is going to be murdered. Fascism will be too far along and he does not have the unwavering support of the NYPD to protect him. In fact they are the most likely party to orchestrate it.

  • Hot take: WWII rifles aren't inherently priceless historic artifacts and I don't really care that much when they're "bubba'd."

They made millions upon millions of Garands, Enfield's, Mosins, etc. The amount of war materiel in general produced was astronomical. If we treated every weapon, truck, tank, shell, ship, and piece of shrapnel as priceless, we wouldn't have known what to do with it all. It'd be like a hoarding mentality on a societal scale.

So yeah, people cut down old war rifles into hunting rifles. Repurposed surplus trucks where they could. Scrapped countless more where they couldn't. People moved on.

FYI the Sage chassis pictured is completely reversible and does not require altering the base rifle.
