  • You mean the play store? Yeah sure, I use the official repos on all my devices.

  • First time seeing a CEO get replaced for whatever reason?don't worry, we've all been there.

  • Reading that... forum... gave me an aneurysm.

  • Oh so this will save thousands of lives then? And here I thought they just hire a new CEO while making their services worse to fund the bonuses for the new one. Silly me.

  • Sadly don't know enough about that. I suspect it's a specific theme-color it copies for the background of the tab strip, as that is significantly lighter than it is supposed to be.

  • What OS is that on?

  • As I said in the other comment, your reply also exemplifies how people can't even hold an attention span for more than a single word any more, and as a result completely misunderstand something. I'm sorry, but you exactly showcase how modern political weaponization of internet reactionism works.

  • I love how nobody reads beyond that word and completely misunderstands the comment. Such a beautiful example of how America got so 110% politics-illiterate.

  • Not how it looks for me:

If yours is on linux, I think that's on the system to provide meaningful colors for these elements.

  • So we're using a bad mechanism (exclusivity deals) to make people use an inferior product (Epic vs Steam), but "It's totally going to be better for you in the future bro, trust me!".

I'm sorry, but can we make it sound any more like a scam? It's not quite there yet. Can you add something with crypto or AI or an MLM?

Epic has a lot of money, they should find a way to offer a better service in some ways like Gog does.

  • I meant not that the situation couldn't come up at all, but that someone uses it as their normal way of browsing.

  • That's not what the question was about? I mean sure, if you stop after that exact word and immediately hit "reply".

  • Yeah but everyone turns them off or blocks them, then wonders why seemingly Mozilla never considers their use case. You made it invisible to see that use case, what did you expect? 😂

  • Gearbox Games, Robert Space Industries and Ubisoft are the big ones that come to mind.

Both indirectly (via just not respecting their customers in their products at all) and even directly (look at Dandy Pitchforks constantly whining about the mean mean players).

  • Same, and it ought to only show up if there is any app on the device that can handle this page.

  • Unfortunately, governments are notorious for abusing such trust.

Source? Because that assumes that this is the normality. Which is interesting as a statement, although of course it massively depends on your local government, but not everyone lives in Syria or so.

This always gets carted out, and yet then people always have to point at the same dozen or so big things in hundreds of years of gov history, and never mention the possibly billions of non-abused trust moments in the same space of time.

  • For profit fire fighters! Response times go up because there are a lot of firefighters now! Your house burns because you have bad credit or couldn’t pay your bill. A firefighter may have set that fire to drive more business. conclusion: Fire fighting should NOT be profit driven.

No like the fire brigade in Discworld: If you don't pay them, they set your house on fire!

  • That's how countries were formed, yes. So?

  • Couldn't one invent a way more effective if more complicated heat-treatment cycle and a corresponding plant for performing it, and then ideally standardization to ensure this is always done this way before milk is sold for consumption?

Some influencer should get onto that!

  • the option to open a private tab as a normal tab is GONE. This is how I use Firefox: someone sends me a link, I click on it and it opens in a private tab by default. If I need to sign in to see it (e.g. private Instagram links) then I open it in a normal tab. This option is now simply gone.

I'm going to wager this is such a hyper-niche use case that the devs might genuinely not be aware of anybody doing this at all. Reminds me of the relevant XKCD, basically.

It's already acknowledged by the devs though, the feature should still/again be there soon, but it stays a nightly-only feature for the time being.
