  • I’m a casual follower of politics. If an article like this pops up on my (formerly Reddit) Lemmy home feed I’ll often give it a scan.

Maybe someone who pays more attention can correct me but it seems that when PP makes a statement that’s conspiratorial he’ll refuse to answer questions about it. Am I wrong about that? Does he ever answer difficult questions or even try to dodge them without a script?

  • I think you’re talking about the new medication approved to treat postpartum depression.

Increased risk of suicidal thoughts and actions is a very commonly listed side effect of a great deal of antidepressant medications. That’s why you’re supposed to be closely supervised when you start them and report any oddities to your doctor asap.

So it doesn’t increase suicidal tendencies across the board, only in those who are susceptible to that side effect.

  • Sounds to me like you’re already on the path to having it figured out when you say something like “I know I’ll eventually find a bright side to this”.

I’ve had to come to terms with limitations myself. The thing that’s worked best for me is radical acceptance. Simply always accepting that the present moment is what it is. That doesn’t mean give up improving or anything. It just means that however I’m feeling in the present about my limitations is ultimately not that important. The sun will rise tomorrow regardless of what’s going on for me.

Looking at the picture “the pale blue dot” helps with this idea too.

  • I fancy myself fairly tech savvy. I managed to figure out this Lemmy thing, lol.

For whatever reason I’ve never really understood how an RSS thing works. I guess I’ve just never been compelled to figure it out.

My main point is that the kinds of people who were/are getting all their news from Meta probably couldn’t figure out RSS either.

Seems like a good idea though. I might have to finally dig in to it.

  • Anycubic water washable resin, shaken for 30 seconds before pouring in to the vat.

The leading edge of the ship (the edge pointing to the top of this picture) was hanging by supports off the build plate.

This is a resin printer so no hot end. 25 second exposure for the first 8 layers then 2.5 seconds each layer after.

  • I was talking to a friend about this the other day. I really can’t understand how back to work legislation is a thing (I realize that’s not quite what happened here but it could have). What’s stopping the workers from simply continuing to strike? Will they arrest ~7200 people? What’s the point of organization if management/the government can just say “nope, you’re done, go back to work”?
