  • Other instances can ban users; or even defederate with other instances based on their own discretion. This affects how these users can interact with their instance and only it.

A moderator on dubvee did ban your account from participating in any of the communities inside the instance named dubvee.

  • Discord being a US based company lets FBI access to its data much more directly. While TikTok still provides this data, them not being US based ticks off FBI, because there is the chance of chinese government interfering with the legitimacy of data that TikTok would provide. On China, the state has much more control over the companies than US.

The US can't even deal with a billionaire buying up a social media platform and influence elections; but China can collapse any company's success at a whim. Changing a legal data request from another country is certainly something they can do if China demands it.

  • I would've been ok with it if they didn't portray Yasuke as a samurai; because he literally wasn't. If you're representing a country's history; taking an unqualified person's fanfic as source material is really fucking dumb.

  • Specific niches that don't see much love in public trackers. Are you looking for a spanish dub for a recent movie? An eroge? Indie rock music? Your chance of finding it with a private tracker dedicated to such content is way higher.

  • The addresses they'll send are mostly shipping companies that take stuff and ship them directly to another country. Check their address, you'll very likely see such a building that advertises to ship stuff.

  • AoE2. I played the hell out of singleplayer back in the day, and with Remastered they both added new ones and improved the storytelling in old ones. Art of War campaign also is a good introduction to multiplayer combat.

If you like historic stuff; you'll like it. There also exists lot of community campaigns

  • Cool script. Would reccomend getting data from RSS feeds as a start instead of hardcoding your news; as that's what I did on my account bot that posts crucial news to !turkey@lemmy.ml

I think whatever the Mastodon class is, you'll need some sort of pre-installing library to use it and import it, and import json too.

Also this is a technology news channel; this post would be more helpful in a programming related community.

  • My least favourites are in no particular order; Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom. Reasoning is that they have territorial claims in Antartica.

Antartica belongs to the inhabiting wildlife, no one has the right to claim a territory there.
