  • I found Ansible as a product, lacking. Granted maybe some of the issues was because it was AWX? Unsure. But everything about it was like pulling teeth.

I personally prefer Salt, if for no other reason than it's significantly faster. And frankly I found writing the respective configs much easier to ready and follow with Salt.

  • Imagine the nurse goes in on it and gave them something. That would be somebody who ends up on "Tell me something someone convinced you was true but you realize later in life was bullshit"

Actually, we need a bunch of people to do that. Start seeding future content. In like 20 years it'll pay off.

  • Ah yes, the age old approved sexism! Lot of ya spending a lot of time trying to justify this and spin it as not sexism...

I love the fact that y'all found another reason why I need to apologize for just existing.

As a man, I've been physically assaulted by multiple girlfriends, was raped by one, and knew several women who's favorite saying to tell me was 'you can't rape the willing, if he gets hard that's consent'. But no, I love this narrative of all men are just evil.

But I'll get down votes because I don't fit that circle jerk narrative.

  • There should be no algorithm. It should be done by a human. There are no amount of lines of code I will ever make up for knowing intent and what the current situation is.

If it's going to be closed by software it needs to prioritize safety 100% of the time. If more pressure is needed and that pressure needs to come from a human.

  • When I supported the network at work, with many ISPs across the US... It depends on the Telco.

Comcast Business, was hand down the best Telco when it comes to business lines from my experience. At&t and Verizon were the script readers, having to argue everything to get them to do anything. Many of the cable companies, just had terrible everything. CenturyLink was very good, but awful support portal.

  • I'm partial deaf... These let me hear music in a way I never could. I remember being in a quiet place and listened to an audio sample... Hearing an instrument on my bad side was like listening to it for the first time. Hearing in stereo is just wild when you have only heard in mono your whole life

  • Some friendships be like that. Usually it's the case of me going out of if my way to help... Only for then to purposefully make terrible life choices.

    Examples,

He was just out of jail and wanted to get on track. I got him a place to stay, a job, I even personally moved him (like drive, picked up his stuff), and got him an interview with the college. The choice, fuck his perole! Drinking, meth, and knowingly getting a warrant for arrest (to impress the ladies... And it worked) was way better.

The list for her, would be too much as we knew each other for like 28(?) years. She's a mom of a disabled teenage daughter. She thought it was a great idea to get into a relationship with someone she knew was a convicted child predator. I just cannot abide. (I called CPS)

  • I didn't used too get in line. But I've had a number of times someone took to much carry on (how I don't know) and took all of the overhead space, refused to fix it, and the airline didn't give a fuck either.

  • They push the idea of handing no CapEx, only OpEx! Think of the savings! They then try to make things look cheap like it's super cheap.

I was doing a test in Azure and forgot to delete the insurance... I'm just a could of days... $30. But my crappy repurposed gaming PC too home server.... I can do whatever I want when I want and never have to consider cost.
