My uni forced us to resume in-person classes barely five months into the pandemic. No one is more productive. To this day, I’m only in the office when my contract says I have to be there. Even then, the door is closed and the lights are off. I can literally count on one hand the number of useful hallway conversations in the last four years. Generally, I’m far more productive without the interruptions and pointless random socializing.
Unlike others in this thread, I do happen to believe telepathy is real. I don’t know if this is how to access it, though. Might be worth checking techniques used by military researchers or the Princeton Consciousness Project.
There’s the problem. It’s fairly easy for me to avoid those slices since I don’t care for their movies or any of their artists. But some of their tech has become de facto standard, so that’s harder.
In my case, it’s because I prefer it. Razors are expensive, and who has time to shave anyway? I’ve had a beard off and on since college in the 80s, when it made me look about five years older. Now it makes me look about 10 years younger. I’ll take it. :)
Legal and constitutional are different things. Hate speech is, in fact, illegal in many places. But the test that would apply for constitutional muster seems to be clear and present danger. Criticizing a government would not likely clear that bar.
