Although I agree that bit torrent is a good protocol, DDL is still a valuable method of maintaining mass accessibility, and an important aspect of transport as it requires next to no background skills or knowledge, it's also symbolic to the concept that many people simply do not believe piracy is necessarily a crime unless it turns a profit, or prevents or reduces a sale from occurring.

Meh government jobs can be depressing from what I've heard. The big thing is that many who work in government have watched over the years how multiple parties and various personalities fail to bring meaningful change and I can only imagine how depressing it is. It is no doubt that a government job, much like teaching is meant to be symbolic as a position of caretaking so to speak, but one with more authority than real inspiration and information.

The next big thing in my mind is the evolution of government systems, ie the human body and mind has already managed to become versatile enough to adapt itself across a variety of ecosystems, the next big thing will be how our systems adapt to the human circumstances on a large scale in a manner that will not be controlled or directed by a single authority like a government, but by a anarchic democratic meritocracy where the more material knowledge and capability you can provide the group the more information and transparency is given to you for further investment into the system you are part of or rely on.

Literally no economic system or political science yet has managed to prevent the internalised drive for familicide or authoritarian violence funnily enough, one can only hope that rationality prevails over bad thoughts, but not on the basis of civilization or self preservation, but through the collective conscience of humanity coming to understand how best to maximize the available entropy and energy within society to produce the most jobs, the most utility, the most potential sex, the most systems of funding and all other human desires.

Consider thot the US is a very rich democracy yet has many school shootings, Saudi Arabia has had to deal with corrupt funding of terrorists, China uses AI to bait people into crime and arrests people on false charges and then plays catch and release while Israel funds Hamas, imports overseas Jews and then exports violent "settlers" into the Palestinian borders.

Consider that even millionaire dictators who go on holiday will occasionally commit mass genocide. All of these bad things... Are not going to disappear because of capitalism, but we can at least say that they would become more foreseeable and preventable in a world where we have movies or stories that discuss our present these monstrosities to light

I feel like most people including producers don't care so much, they care more about promoting more people to get into the whole creatives sector so to speak so that there's less concentrated loss of capital and risk for everyone involved including the pirates and "copyright enforcers"

I think a lot of people don't want to admit that most political ideas ranging from communism to capitalism are half baked labels we stick onto a collection of beliefs about what works best to solve certain problems. If you got rid of the labels you might just ask the question of what works and where the money will come from

If we're going to take the Bible as stories that are somewhat partially true, I'd like to imagine that God as described was or is a supernatural nth dimensional being that allows for the manifestation of the human conscience in our moments of greatest suffering, but upholds a disassociative desire for a greater justice or harmony that can appear to many as an almost alien destructive nature and the tendency to punish, while another aspect or being above us, perhaps the same one, is basically a chilled out stoner who enjoys being lazy, exploring mushrooms as food, but doesn't like the idea of farming and sedentary lifestyle.
