  • This is a strange angle because the UK does not have notably higher levels of knife ownership but has a disproportionately high level of stabbings.

I think the idea that the cause of gun violence is guns is just flawed. People need a reason to commit violence, they don't just do it for fun.

  • They also offer the Steam multiplayer backend, workshop, and Steam's social system which is becoming enticing again given Discord's latest behaviour.

GOG's gimmick is no DRM, Itch.io has the cheapest self-publishing costs, and Epic has... well I'm not sure really, but the other two have their place, but it's no coincidence Steam is the biggest.

  • AR15 weapons have been used (and continue to be used damn near weekly) in mass shootings that has killed hundreds of children.

Calling this out because I do not believe the evidence supports this. Please provide evidence for this claim.

  • I think you might like Superliminal or Hardspace Shipbreaker.

I'm less sure about the following but still wanted to suggest them:

    • Dinkum (it's like Animal Crossing but in Australia)
    • Astroneer (pretty chill exploration and mining game)
    • Roots of Pacha (a more story-focused Harvest Moon like game)
  • Not going to lie, I've never seen it used outside of its pejorative use. I will assume it's safe to imply that you aren't using it that way, and with that explanation I'm satisfied that it is a real term with real uses.

This does describe most voters who are not just permanently voting red or blue though...

  • The worst part about the politics here in Canada is that the Liberals always spend years setting up the layup that the Conservatives use to dunk on Canadians. This round is going to feature a whole host of anti-competitive business, bad trade deals, media favouritism, privatization, waves of attacks on worker's rights... all this and more thanks to the moves set up by the Liberals doing things like refusing to stop the Rogers/Shaw purchase, the failure to make deals with other countries, setting up media and "CanCon" subsidies that favour big media companies, and the intentional attacks on the efficiency and effectiveness of public services.

    We are so fucked.
