Interesting, I remember years of libs ruthlessly mocking right-wing users (and the lefties who agreed) for thinking Twitter and other social media was dangerous. Now all of a sudden we all agree social media is dangerous because the guy who owns one of the services is openly a shill rather than quietly like Dorsey was?

I'm a lefty with a working memory who knows authoritarians are not to be trusted no matter what side they claim to be on. It seems like the most obvious position a person can hold but people are struggling with even this...

Same. In fact were I playing webfishing knowing that this many people from all sides would be this upset about the title, I would 100% gun for it and enjoy the fireworks.

People's reactions to things like this are hilariously overblown, both the anger that some straight person would dare to ask for representation and that some dev would gently troll them.

The poor have a lot less to lose than you do. This isn't going to change much for them, so it was on people like you to convince them to vote. Promising nothing besides "Not Trump" isn't going to cut it. Try actually helping them for a change instead of blaming them and then wishing they get fucked, you god damned psychopath.

OBS is the big one, but it comes with a learning curve. That said there is so much flexibility like breaking out game, desktop, and discord into separate audio channels you can adjust in the recording.

I mean yes but it's more than just feelings and hateful people on Twitter:

• the death of many careers that men primarily occupied without any plan to deal with it
• the changing of education into a format that doesn't work well for men
• systematic sexism that is denying men opportunities in education and work that started as benevolence towards women, but when younger women started to displace men and make more money than them, feminists applauded it and demanded even more for the sake of revenge

And when you talk about this as a man you get exactly the kind of replies I got, or worse. This is how you drive men right.

I’m honestly tired of women bailing us out in these elections though, so I cannot imagine what it’s like for them to have to keep doing it.

That said, when men were losing their jobs they got told "learn to code" by callous and shitty journalists and women's rights activists. It's not hard to see why men are abandoning liberal governments that blame them for everything even while they are experiencing statistically worse outcomes with each successive generation.

The solution is so simple that you have to be abandoning it on purpose: promise men educations and to help them get employed, and you'll get all the support you need.

Forget the porn, it's the absolute insanity of forcing (and allowing) all these different web services to get and maintain our identities. Huge privacy breach from people preaching that government overreach is bad... This hypocrisy gets old fast.

The Conservatives didn't do anything last time about this despite it being a big discussion point, and they had years of majority to do it. I don't see them changing tack since they don't seem too bothered by any of Canada's other oligarchs.

All that said, the Liberals barely took a step forward on this either, right before taking a huge step back allowing Rogers and Shaw to merge. These damned neoliberals just refuse to help anyone.

Interesting take, considering the extreme power women have. Women make up the majority of household spending, women in younger generations are making more money than men, and women are now less vulnerable to job loss.

If you're wondering where the sudden rightward drift is coming from, it's younger men feeling hopeless and powerless to change it, for the above reasons and much more. The idea that the split is exclusively cishet male/political is wild and borderline irresponsible. While true in some states and circles, it's wealthy white women/political in others, and cishet men don't get included at all.

Demanding moderation means demanding an authority makes decisions. Who is that authority? American (neo)liberals? French nationalists? Saudi government? Maybe the owners are beholden to outside authorities like banks and advertisers?

Twitch, X, and Reddit becoming shitholes is an inevitable feature of capitalism and cancel culture. This thought process you have will always result in the oppression of minorities and minority opinions, and a push to the lowest common denominator; in other words, the least offensive, milquetoast, worthless experience people will suffer through but still come back to.

You have super strength. You attempt to lift an incredibly heavy object and... You push your legs into the ground instead. That's not just some guy, but it is a lot less useful of a power lol

Seriously though it's really well thought out actually. Each planet has unique challenges you will have to deal with and it's clear they put a lot of effort into designing these challenges and their solutions. Each planet grants new features that give you options you wouldn't otherwise have to help solve other problems. Lots of quality of life changes and an ever-improving user experience.

It won't win over people who didn't like Factorio but fans of the game will get more of what they love.

Plenty of church-going pro-lifers feel like they're doing the best for their communities and people in general. It's why when we make arguments we need to not talk down to people like they're idiots, because they generally are not.
