More seriously; what constitutes beautiful code is very open to interpretation. Someone would say that a single line of list comprehension expression is beautiful while another would say the same thing expressed over several lines making the logic abundantly clear is beautiful.
Just thought I'd point out that you probably meant "scraping the barrel" as in scraping the last dregs out of it instead of "scrapping" as in discard or remove from service
That's not a negative, I think. It might hurt a little at first, but you'll soon have removed most of your own errors and be a better person for it. What more could we wish for?
