I was banned by a bot for threatening violence… against myself. I merely said “it’s comforting to me that if things ever get bad enough I can just blow my brains out.” Now a moderator did unban me when I appealed, but it’s like you say… insulting that bots are banning without human review in the first place.

Anyways, I decided to leave Reddit for good this time and left on a final post saying I hope He Who Shall Not Be Named inspires more bloodshed of terrible people ruining the world to line their own pockets. That’ll probably get the account permabanned. Good riddance.

I never did beat Bear Hugger and his little woodland critter friend he kept under his cap in Title Defense Mode.

Even Trump was boo’d when he told his flock to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

I swear I went from like 2008-2015 without a single encounter with a mod. Then it became a lot of posts being deleted for breaking arbitrary rules. Then it became constant harassment by these power tripping dorks and bans that were often unjust. Then the third party apps were ripped away so they could put ads in every 5 posts and then inside the comments. I bitched about all of this nonsense but stayed… Now it’s AI moderating, shadow removal of posts, being unable to say the name Luigi in any context, and warnings/bans for simply upvoting posts that go against the official corporate narrative. I won’t stay for that nonsense.

I love that idea, thanks. There are smaller communities on there that are going to be hard to replace for information and news on some of my more obscure interests.

Yep, I've been flirting with Lemmy for a year and a half and come here every time Reddit really pisses me off or bans me for something I would have never been banned for 10 years ago.

I'm not flirting with it anymore. This recent batch of censorship is too much. It's the last straw. Left my Reddit account for good. I can still use it as a resource to get answers to questions without needing an account.

Finally left for good. Place is so far removed from the principles it was founded on. Guess I'll be here a lot more... but hopefully spending less time doom scrolling in general.

My post was really just a "if things get bad enough, I can always blow my brains out which gives me a strange sense of comfort" sort of thing and it was flagged as threats of violence... against myself I guess? Silly. I will of course do my best to not let things get to that point and try to look for the positives in life.

Of course the ones who are already brainwashed will love religion being imposed on everybody because that's how it works. Those people probably voted for Trump or not at all. Plenty of young people didn't vote for Trump and despise him, same as any other demographic. Imposing religion on these people won't work. The rate of non-believers has skyrocketed over the last several decades. Doubt it has ever been higher. Nothing the Republicans do will make them suddenly believe in this trash. Will only make them hate religion even more.

Does this actually matter so long as I just ask it questions I want answers to? I’m not feeding it any personal information. Sincere question. Enlighten me if so.

I definitely don’t want to believe in God, because if there were one then that would mean a sadistic narcissistic monster is at the helm of all of this. I prefer an indifferent universe.

I'm thinking it will get the job done for casual use since the Joycon is a bit bigger than last time and the shoulder buttons extend out a bit.

I'd be all about going for an ergonomic pro version since I'll be using the feature while docked anyways though. I'm sure a compant like Hori will jump at the opportunity. Hell, maybe even any wireless mouse will work? Just happy that it means lots of games will have the functionality. Analog character movement plus mouse aiming is the best of both worlds.

Yep. How many decades are people supposed to wait while they see that their votes never get them any sort of change no matter which of the two corporatist parties who take money from that industry are in charge? If voting and protesting doesn’t work, what option is left?

At least Mangione did something, and he did it at great personal sacrifice.

I do advocate his methods. I hope he inspires many more heroes. I hope 2025 is the year of many more dead parasites.
