  • It’s really hit critical mass no? The fucked up part is the political calculus vs the political reality… polling has shown that dem sentiment is under represented, typical off cycle elections have swung wildly left counter to polling… we don’t really know what the “polls” show. So what’s left is rhetoric and reasoning.

  • Self defeating language is self defeating. I too want to deal with this shit, hence not using kid language. Congresscritters implies a type of benign neglect in politics, like business as usual… it implies a lazy take and it ignores the actual malice present and gives a veneer of “just politics” happening.

Facists aren’t “critters” those are squirrels.

  • “Congresscritters”

That’s the end of this. If you’re saying shit like that you are not serious, or can’t think seriously enough to move beyond “critters”…

If things are as “royally fucked” as you say then “congresscritters” is a laughingly insufficient take.

  • I love how we all pretend to be neutral and then there’s you!

Calling names and cutting BS. She’s a cop, they are crap and everyone is lesser-than as far as you are concerned… everyone is worse than trump in your eyes. Aka trump is better than everyone…

Do you honestly pretend that if everyone supported Kamala you’d do anything less than tearing her down? If Kamala is the nominee what would you do with yourself?

  • Which convention? The one that “unfairly” nominated Hillary? The convention that nominated Biden?

Bottom line is that “conventions” will not satisfy folks who don’t care and don’t take the effort to understand. The checks from the heritage foundation appear to only perpetuate crap like you mention…

  • I had professors that instead of a text book had you buy a “reader” from a copy shop. It was just a big binder of photocopied pages from text books, academic journals and various published papers. I still hold on to a few of them as they were kinda like mix tapes of various ideas and info, way more interesting than a text book.

The local copy shops were bigger centers of piracy than Napster at the time.
