I totally get it. My dad is from a town like that, if not smaller. Place I'm from isn't a lot bigger, but it definitely wasn't like his. They probably still carry hunting rifles to school. They get like a week off for deer hunting season because they wouldn't show anyways

Costume Quest

Just what I came here for! Not spooky, but entirely Halloween themed. I beat the first, but never got around to playing much of the second. A pretty simple turn based RPG, but the costumes you put on your party become the actual thing they are in battle. Very cute and fun games

Were you also watching Seinfeld yesterday? It was one of his stand-up bits before or after the show

Really the only right answer at this point. Plenty of amazing games on NES, but Mario 3 is probably the most widely accessible with tons of play time

Edit: 20 minutes and I don't think I'm any closer to finding it. I told my partner what I was doing and they said 'oh that's gonna be hard!" I'm stubborn, so I may keep trying
