is there some kind of chess.com or lichess equivalent for go? I have a friend who always kicks my ass at correspondance chess, might be nice to have a change of scenery
id have nobara go back to Firefox as default browser, or at least a chromium that's a little more palletable like Vivaldi or something. heck even a checkbox at installation asking which browser to install would be fine, anything but stock Google chrome
edit: just double checked and it looks like nobara uses chromium not chrome, my bad
I had the same issue with forza for a long time. as far as I can tell, the only fix is to get an AMD GPU. I uprgaded my 1070 to 7900xtx and now forza runs like a dream. never tried those other two games though
thanks for the response, I'm actually pretty interested knowing there are two new worlds with some new mechanics, maybe I'll pick this one up after all
I played the original on Gameboy and loved it, but this new release confuses me. it feels like they didn't really add anything compared to the original? like, the graphics have been brought into the modern era, and there's local multiplayer, sure. But it still looks like exactly the same game otherwise?? no new levels, no new concepts like a level builder or new stage/puzzle mechanics, no new items, interactables, or even collectables. Just the same game again with a fresh coat of paint. I don't get it. do people want $60 USD "beautified" (original pixel style looked better imo) Gameboy games now?
to be clear I'm being genuine here, if you're excited for this game please help me understand why, I want to be hyped for this with how important this game was for me as a kid
bro imagine Yor beating the shit out of a bracken, Loid outsmarting a coilhead encounter, Anya reading the mind of a giant, and then they all sit down for a nice dinner on their spaceship ride back home. wild.
i played for about 3 hours, and afaik you don't have to make/use the guns. pals don't even have death animations they just get anime KO swirly eyes and you get whatever their drops are in your inventory, so you could even easily convince yourself youre just knocking them out like in Pokemon.
IMO the only reason not to buy it is the lack of depth beyond being a base-building survival game. I thought there would be some big story and grand questline, but nope. youre just dropped in the world and guided through base building and pal catching.
I don't thibk op intended to imply that new users instal a new DE on whatever distro they choose, but rather it's clunky to explain that they should prioritize DE when choosing distro. like, imagine a new users asks what distro they should start with, I believe op is advocating we say "anything that uses KDE by default" (or gnome or xfce etc). plenty of distros have derivatives that are basically the same but use a different DE, so it's pointless to suggest one over the other when a new user is just going to use the DE to do everything graphically anyway.
my old desktop was named George, inspired by the word "GeForce" on the gpu. my new one is Leo, mostly because I just like that name, but also because it's my first desktop built for linux. My first server was Bertha bc its physical size was a lot bigger than I expected and I had to find a new place to store it, and my newest server is even bigger so I named it Marge. My clunky old 16" laptop from 2010 is named Mondo.
