In 2023 Russian government organized a photo exhibition dedicated to Ukraine, positive side was shown and their heroes were respected and loved while in Ukraine there was a Russian book burning campaign. Russian government never posts or demean Ukraine has a race or nationality (yes they say the country didn't exist before 1918) but Ukrainian government officials regularly dehumanizes Russians like Nazis did in 1940. Get the difference.

International community didn't do anything when Turkey changed it's name and neither it can do anything if India endorses the name "Bharat" And erases the name India from its Constitution, neither you could do anything when Christian and Muslim minorities were killed in Manipur and in various regions of India. Being a communist i cannot say I support the cause of BJP And co and neither should anyone be neutral to this. Thats all it matters

This is extremely bad because BJP is saffronizing India by changing all Islamic monarchs named roads and cities to fascist leaders of 1930s. Changing the official name of India to "bharat" Is an anti Dravidian policy because that's not how South India linked itself to ancient India . I hope people from the Western countries don't endorse any fascist proposition .

I lived in West Bengal (India ) where Communist party ruled from 1977-2011 non stop , I grew up there and did my Engineering . As it is a federal state it was not socialist at all but the civic governance and policies were definitely far better than now. I had good repo with old commie people who persuaded people to vote (vote for any party for democracy) and whatnot. But if you hear from people who were born in post 90s you will nothing hear good about the government , here it is partly because liberal MSM always hated CPIM government and partly because CPIM disenfranchised clan type influence in the society . Nowadays , it is the worst lumpen government ruling my state but people won't say much about it .

I think in the former socialist societies there was this lack of abundance of consumer goods that annoyed the middle class. I mean yeah you can have have social securities but without having an abundance of goods and snacks 😜 , it's kinda boring. Take for example in China, there is abundance of consumer goods, products and snacks...

Reality is different than theory. China ,Vietnam and India had long fought for their independence and there are certain amount of libs who likes the white skin libs and fascists. If healthy left wing nationalism is there its very good for the 3rd world countries. Be it Venezuela, Nicaragua or China. I would say Russian nationalism is also very left wing (at least what Vijay Prashad implied ), their nostalgia for soviet past and heroic deeds of their grandpas and nannies. Because they banned Russian orthodox church and lately they persecuted the Ukrainian orthodox church and jailed their priests for not supporting the Ukro military. Also , they killed a Russian soldier by burning him alive on the cross.
