  • Yep, own a manual, driven manuals prior, and learned when I was young (conceptually at least, I grew up racing motorcycles, and the idea of clutch+shifting became a thing when I was about 8). Never formally was "taught" in a car, just got in and started driving one. Am 32 in Appalachia.

  • Eh, I'd say that's pretty good in context. Bethesda has, for the most part, put out very successful games. Bugs and Bethesda are pretty synonymous though, and that this is on the less buggy side is something to quell hot takes of "Bugfield" before people even touch it. And I think the embargo restricts deeper comments on the game, so these may he the only comments we get for a few more days.

  • The crazy part is, the majority of those voters have neither power nor money. They just get caught up in the cult of personality the GOP has going on. Every single one of their candidates is trying to be a hero for Republican voters. Trump will Make America Great Again. DeSantis will save the children from woke politics and trafficking. The other candidates are a mix of the two. None of them are grounded in reality, and none of them are offering actual solutions outside of catch phrases and threats/promises to end X "threat".

  • They're building up to a killer golden age

  • This is a tactical retreat. Once the retreat is done, you'll see that while Russia has given up physical land, they'll have taken digital ownership of it via the smash-hit mobile game Atlas Earth, meaning Ukraine occupies the space, but Russia earns passive income from digital ownership.

    Checkmate you dirty capitalist.

  • I just last week updated from A11 to A13, I do not enjoy it. I did it because some functionality was getting weird; Bluetooth dropping from Android Auto repeatedly, SwiftKey keyboard not working with some apps, weird app responses and delays.

Some of the issues resolved, new ones cropped up. I'm getting more and more frustrated with it.

  • That isn't federated experience tho. No one on a closed platform asks for identification of where stuff was posted from; by default, it's the closed platform. That isn't how federation works; the number of sources/groups is virtually endless.

But nah, go on. Foster more good-will by getting upset at others for asking the context of a post on federated sites. Clearly y'all are a welcoming bunch.

  • It's the landing page of Kbin by default. I cannot change it.

I don't think I've even advocated for the person to specifically include the instances in post titles; just that identifying it is helpful when asked. Instead, dude above went off calling people functionally dumb for asking.

  • I didn't set out to view other instances. The default view of kbin is the All page. It was on page 1, immediately join opening. Should I avoid logging in?

It's crazy how annoyed you are about the federated experience while on a federated site. Not everyone is going to conform to how you/your instance wants to operate.

  • I'm seeing this from just the All page on kbin. That's where I find other communities I may want to join.

I have not left my instance to see this post.

  • 70% of the time, they're different sizes. And if they aren't, then the little chip on them let's the printer know it isn't the correct cartridge.

If only it were so simple...

  • I think there is maybe a misunderstanding of what was meant by "disenfranchisement".

  • I don't think my previous comment would constitute bashing, but I may just be misreading it.

And I'd argue that a person on the internet leaving a comment is wayyyy less likely to lead to disenfranchisement than Republicans actively gerrymandering, taking away voting machine in minority heavy precincts, changing voter ID requirements, making the distribution of food and water in long election lines illegal, etc.

  • That's all well and good, but any kind of non-involvement only pushes us deeper into that system. One side sucks and cares about general human rights, the other side doesn't. One side attempted a coup, the other is largely pretty pissed about it. And unless something happens overnight that hasn't happened in the modern US, the winner is going to be D or R. One side will get us closer to bring able to get a better system, the other side would gladly make up election results and stay in power indefinitely a la Putin.

  • Comedic relief, watching him scramble between the GOP and the fence he normally sits his stupid ass on...

  • it is on gamepass

I'll just delete the large anti-preorder manifesto I was typing lol. Not that it doesn't remain, just not for this game for me in particular.

  • I have no turtle in this race, but the absolute tribalism exhibited by users regarding other instances is wild to me.

  • Nope, just plain ol' hateful people here. Every single county went Trump in 2020, even the ones with large college and educated populations. Closest it got was Monongalia county were he only had 50-60% of the votes. If any county would be blue, it would have been Mon, but they couldn't win there either.

  • I'll fight em. Despite being in WV, there aren't too many confrontational people here. And I'm in arguably the most liberal part, so I'm decently insulated from the crazies. People always say "liberals don't have guns", but it's more "liberals don't cosplay with their guns when they go to the store"...
