  • This is what caused that pet food scare back in the 00's. Some Chinese manufacturer realized that they were being paid by weight, not volume, so they added heavy metals to their cat food and it poisoned a few cats here in the US.

    China executed that guy btw.

  • Hence why I said "Kinda Wrong" .

Practically any solar panel can fully recharge an EV, it's just a matter of how long it's going to take. Sure there are some battery losses, yada yada, but a single 100W panel would charge up an EV in a few months.

  • Oh boy.

Alrighty not even gonna click that link, here is why...

Aptera claims to get about 40 miles of range per day with their full solar package and ideal conditions. Which is fantastic! But, it's not the solar technology that makes that car viable, its the high efficiency of their vehicle. If we assume 40 miles per day, 12 hours of sun, you could hypothetically directly drive the Aptera with solar at a blistering ...3.3mph. To put it simply, unless solar panels get an order of magnitude more efficient, we are not going to get a direct solar driven vehicle. It will always be solar plus a big ass battery.

I've been watching Aptera closely since 2015, and I already have a reservation for one. That's the other reason I don't have to click that link. I get updates straight into my feed and I've gone over their documents multiple times forward and back.

  • You are very out of the loop. Let me fill you in.

deporting immigrants without ID and asking them to re-enter the country when they have the proper papers.

This is not correct. Currently the trump admin is capriciously revoking student visas and then snatching students off the streets. They are also snatching people at their immigration court hearing. They are effectively abducting and removing people from the US without due process.

sending MS13 gang members to a prison in El Salvado

This is not correct. Currently the Trump admin has declared TdA (a Venezuelan street gang) as an enemy nation of the United States, and they are using this justification to send people to a torture prison outside the US, without due process, on the basis that these people are gang member because of weak "evidence" such as an Autism Awareness tattoo, or a lack of criminal record. Last I heard, at least 75% of the people sent to the extra-national torture prison have no criminal record at all.

making immature/rash economic policies as collateral for speeding up foreign affairs.

This is partially correct. The trump admin is making rash economic policies, but it is not speeding up foreign affairs. Multiple countries have sent delegations to the US to establish new trade policies, and have reported back that the US cannot plainly state what their current trade grievances are, or what deal they want to fix resolve them. Trump has flip-flopped (sometimes in the same sentence) about whether or not the tariffs are negotiable.

the officials who are being deposed/suspended were being irresponsible, and not doing the job/role they’re paid by the public to perform.

This is mostly incorrect. While firing enough people will get rid of underperformers, the trump admin has cut people in charge of; preventing food and medicine contamination, investigsting fraudulent business practices, monitoring and disbursing federal aid, and even the people who are required to to fire/layoff the people they are firing. This list is not comprehensive.

for DOGE (probably out of context, but I’ll still say), they’re just digitizing processes of record keeping in governance. They had issues starting out because they where recklessly trying to map out the system by pulling random plugs and flicking switches to see what they were working with. I’d expect that when they finish, they’d add redundancies so whoever maintains the system after them has the divide of testing and production servers.

This is incorrect. As it operates, DOGE's entire task is to reduce the US government's benefits to the majority of it's citizens, shield billionaires and trump allies from liability, and transfer wealth from regular citizens to billionaires and trump allies.

DOGE has consistently overstated it's "savings" by factors of up to 1000%. Most of the "actual" savings come from cutting contracts and services, which just shifts the burden of those necessary services to individuals and states. They are not rewriting the software the US Govt. uses, their team doesn't even grasp simple database concepts. DOGE workers have demanded super-admin account to government systems, and minutes after those permissions were granted, logins using valid credentials from adversarial nations were detected. Based on this info, DOGE is either woefully inept, or horribly corrupt, or (most likely) both. The primary targets of DOGE cuts are institutions that either had, or could, investigate and hold billionaire accountable for tax dodging, anti-consumer practices, environmental damage, privacy violation, ignoring workers rights and safety, and much much more. They have been working overtime to dismantle the already weak protections the common man has from American oligarchs.

TLDR: whatever news sources you are reliant on are either directly peddling disinfo to you, or they are hiding/underreporting critical details of current events, and you should look elsewhere for your news.

  • Kinda wrong.

You can't get enough solar energy to directly drive a car any practical distance, but you aren't actually driving your car most of the time. When you look at weekly energy requirements, most drivers would be able to accumulate enough energy for all of their driving with just a few decent panels. You would need a battery to take advantage of this, or only drive at night.

Also, check out the solar cannonball run. A guy made a mobile rig of like 40 flexible panels and drove a Model three across the US using only solar charging.

  • You think you’re going to drive anywhere 2 years after the apocalypse?

After a winter or two, between abandoned vehicles and lack of maintenance, the roads are going to be impossible to navigate for any distance that you couldn’t just walk or bike.

  • Breonna's BF got the charges dropped after shooting those cops in their apartment.

Of course, the police harassed him for years during and after the case was decided. They also tried to get Breonna's ex (the guy they were looking for) to lie about hiding at her apartment sometimes, luckily, he didn't take the cushy plea deal they dangled to implicate Breonna and her BF.

  • That's about1.5% of the undocumented population in the US.

For comparison, trump wants to deport 1,000,000 people a year.

Trump is also deporting people without due process. He's deporting people who are here legally and going through the immigration system.

The scale of difference here is the difference.

  • I know some choices are hard, but my parents aren't around to make them for me anymore, and voting takes so much effort. It doesn't really matter anyway, both sides are exactly the same. I'll just not vote and whomever wins, wins. This is America, I've got inalienable rights, so it won't get that bad.
