  • Very true.

This is why EUs response to this is making me sick. Just grow a fucking pair already. They're tiptoeing around slamming back with massive tariffs, basically confirming to trump that he should push harder to get whatever he wants.

China immediately slapped back with massive tariffs, and this is how it needs to be done.

  • Avgas (100LL) isn't banned yet. What is banned, starting may 2025, is importing or mixing the lead additive (TEL) itself, so avgas cannot be produced in Europe.

This means that avgas will have to be imported from elsewhere, which should raise its price and provide an incentive to move away from using it.

This is a very soft handed approach, I'll just say I'm very glad I don't live close to an airfield...

Edit: jet fuel doesn't contain lead. Only piston engine aircraft use this fuel.

  • Let's Encrypt Expiry Bot just entered the chat.

  • Sure they are, as long as foreign nationals pay their own taxes with them.

  • Depends. Do Mericuhns pay their taxes in Dollers?

  • If I can't pay my taxes with it, it isn't a real currency.

  • It's heartbreaking, really.

The UK is like a kid who just got his face covered in mud by bullies, and goes "aren't my friends wonderful for playing with me?".

  • That's utterly disgusting. How can they like hot chips?

  • "Can you explain some of the issues with the current administration?"

    This guy: Hold my beer.

    What a legend!

  • Usually pedantic grammatical corrections are obnoxious, but somehow this was informative, and respect for translating the meme.

  • This is the important part.

The whole world suffered trump's first term as a sort of scam that many confused, struggling Americans fell for.

But then y'all go and do it a second time? Fuck you.

  • Technically he has more sides now. A lot more.

  • Canada and the EU should definitely bait trump into escalating tariffs as quickly as possible, and reach agreements to increase trade between themselves.

If trump continues to escalate and retaliate, Mexico and even China need to be included in the agreement.

This will have huge consequences for America, effectively excluding it from worldwide trade, while diluting the impact for the remaining nations.

America has a huge production capacity though, and that's why escalation needs to happen quickly, not giving it time to ramp up subsidized domestic production.

  • That's how it goes.

They seem lovely from afar, then you actually buy their goods or services, and then they try to fleece you out your last dime while adding more and more water to the lemonade to reduce production costs and maximise profits.

    She's a CEO already.

  • And chocolate. Lots of chocolate.

    Hope you're well now. * Hugs *

  • I'm an atheist and this is one of my favourite hobbies! I could usually find a few on Sundays close to vulnerable people hotspots - churches, hospitals - and all it took was a glance at their magazine stand for them to strike up a conversation.

So far, I've found they're ill equipped at proving the existence of a god, let alone their specific brand. Some were actually impressed with a detailed theory of evolution, and may or may not have started to reassess their view of the world.

I really love some good faith arguing in the morning...

  • Management would like to push up this timeline. Can you deliver by end of week?

  • Thank you, I wouldn't have known how to react to the child's amusing statement without the emojis instructions.

Body mass index (BMI) is an anthropometric index that is commonly used in the medical setting and is a factor in assessing various disease risks

If it's good enough for doctors, it's good enough for me. Wake me up when something else takes its place.
