The only thing missing from hotels is a private common area for groups. If they had more hotels with 2/3 bedrooms around a living space I would never airbnb again.
It's on of those towns that is so corrupt and so delapitated there is really no hope for it. The city of Cleveland tried to annex it about 8 years ago to help restore it, but the city council put in all these weird stipulations to basically cement their power undemocratically and ensure they got lifetime paychecks to the point that eventually Cleveland had to walk away. This year, the Cleveland Metroparks, one of the best metropark systems in the country, tried to take over ownership of one of East Clevelands main parks to help bring it back from the brink, but again the East Cleveland leadership poisoned the pot so much the Metroparks had to walk too. Both of those things would have helped the residents immensely, but the local government just ruined it.
If you have "show read posts" enabled in Lemmy, it will hide your own posts. It's an annoying issue, but I think there is an open item in github to resolve it.
I did good! Took a lot of these suggestions and it definitely helped. Mostly a mix of airport walks, some physical games, airport lounge drinks and naps, audio books and a couple of mobile games I actually enjoyed. But I missed my connection so as I write this I'm sitting in another airport after having to spend the night here.
Maybe it's worth another shot. I've heard great things, played for an hour or so once and never went back. I think I started planting a farm and went into town once or twice and just felt like i didn't "get it". I'll try the witness too.
Yeah not a bad idea, I'll give it a go. Not normally a sodoku guy but that's normally because I never have free time to burn, seems like something up my ally.
I don't know about a full workout, since my athletic clothes aren't available to me, but lugging my shit on laps is a good call just to burn energy. I did a lap of the airport and it was about 45 min, so another mimosa or two at the next lounge then I'll do another lap or two.
For step 6 - are you aware of the tooling the admin at dbzero has built to automate the scanning of images in Lemmy instances? It looks pretty promising.
Lol I thought it was just a cheesy and campy church video and then...holy shit.
