  • Then you don’t get elected…

What I find funny is I have the exact opposite opinion that the left spends more time trying to appeal to voters than actually communicate what they are trying to do. So we end up with things like 250B to boost American manufacturing that got completely ignored

  • What the hell is the imperial core?

Feel free to educate me if you have more information than me but my understanding is Iran was a nice happy country then the U.S. and Britain helped overthrow their government to get a pro oil authoritarian, then the Islamic revolution happened and it turned into a theocracy which shortly after began doing things like treating women as second class citizens

I am far from an expert so if you have more information than the Wikipedia page i will gladly take it

  • Because the title doesn’t really give enough context they were advertising as a place for kids with mental health problems but instead just used them for free labor

“Trinity Teen Solutions promised to help girls with mental health and behavioral problems, but a group of women who’d been placed there as teens by their parents accused the [now-defunct ranch] of forcing them to perform manual labor. Tasks included repairing barbed wire fences, castrating animals and laying irrigation pipes, Injuries were disregarded, it states, and the girls were subjected to humiliating punishments if they did not do the work as ordered.”

  • Haleu fuel is pretty common that’s enriched up to about 20%. Highly enriched fuel is still used for nuclear power on aircraft carriers that use 93% enriched U235.

Iran is definitely just trying to make weapons but wanted to at least give some examples of higher enriched fuels

  • Do you have a source on that, I know a saw a source a while ago showing that meal delivery service generate less waste due to less food waste than grocery stores have. But in my experience reastaurants have a ton of food waste

  • The cost to design one is insanely expensive, the advantage of the U.S. designs is they have a very long operating history with a bunch of subs so all those lessons learned from 70 years of operation are factored into the designs and the U.S. buys a bunch at once which lowers the cost per unit and makes keeping maintenance facilities available for the subs much cheaper as well.

The U.S. has 66 active nuclear subs, the UK has 10 and France 9 so again while it’s possible to do it would be very expensive

  • Computers for all intents are purposes have perfect recall so since it was trained on a large data set it would have much better intelligence. But in reality what we consider intelligence is extrapolating from existing knowledge which is what “AI” has shown to be pretty shit at

  • Have you talked to anyone in the armed forces? Many of them are there because they grew up poor and in the U.S. joining the military can be a good way to get out of poverty.

Only a tiny fraction actually do any combat and even fewer commit war crimes. The main ones committing “war crimes” is Congress who does things like give weapons to Israel.

  • I have been hoping for an update soon that can include much larger capacity while still being lightweight and compact

Some alternate font options that help make it much more legible while writing quickly

The ability to transfer to a computer in text format with limited errors

  • It’s a big issue everywhere, Japan in particular has it worse than others because of their robust social support network so you need a large working population to be able to fund it and due to their shrinking population funding social services their deficit has been increasing and is reaching a bad point where their deficit is around 2.5x their GDP so they are going to bury their future already shrinking population in debt
