Unfortunately the last civil war we had only made things exponentially worse, especially for POCs. And it changed nothing in terms of how the government was run.

One of the things that clinched it for me to leave reddit for good was when one of my favorite subs' (r/entwives) mods caved after "protesting" (going private) for the standard 48 hours, then laid down like pathetic losers after said "protest" and stating they'd remain open like normal instead of permanently staying "private." It was fucking deplorable, and these sad sack mods' reasoning for it was "well if we stay private, someone will create a duplicate of this sub and it won't be the same welcoming environment as this one 🥺🥺🥺🥺" man, that made me see red...it was blatant that they were desperate to hold onto the pathetically small amount of power they had, ultimately terrified of losing their user base.

And yet somehow corporations and their lapdogs (both the GOP and democrats) are making more money than ever. I'm still dumbfounded by it, i don't think it'll ever make sense.

Also, they hate women and the plebs trying to attain higher education just as much as the LGBTQ+ and POC communities, as evidenced by the lovely recent SC(R)OTU(M)S rulings.

Yeah and none of us actually expected Idiocracy to become reality either, yet here we are.

Netflix is essentially the equivalent of the DVD bargain bin at Walmart... lots of stuff to choose from, but none of it is remotely watchable.

I thought the point of The Great Fediverse Migration™ was to take traffic away from reddit? Are spez and his fucklord admins on here now to try and bring people over to r/place? Like I'm all for bringing light to the fact that reddit is collectively coming together to shit on that mega turd, but we shouldn't be encouraging people who have left to go back just to contribute to r/place.

This is true. HOWEVER, he's only opening his mouth to push for legislation on this because he doesn't want any more of his asshole billionaire friends to die. This isn't out of altruism for the average Joe... because let's face it, how many folks do you know who can afford a trip like that?

Who in the actual fuck still uses satellite? Are they also still on dial-up? Do they have a rotary phone at home in lieu of cell phones?

I'm willing to bet the moderators of r/place aren't doing it/are glad it's taking this direction and/or the former mods of r/place were removed by cum-guzzling bootlicking admins who are now forcefully whitewashing reddit users' contributions.
