Windows ME they decided to include the WinNT driver model (can't remember what it's called) alongside the legacy VXD drivers. It's actually quite similar to some of the complaints when Windows Vista did it again.
The problem was shit/rushed driver support. If you built a new PC with well supported hardware, or just got lucky, ME wasn't any less stable than 98SE in my opinion.
Of course the nuance is lost to time, all anyone remembers is "ME bad."
Two of my friends have insomnia because of racing thoughts, which is just a totally alien concept to me. One mitigates it somewhat with meditation, but the way he describes it seems like my natural state of being lol.

My mind works by talking to itself, but it's more like I'm the wordless overseer of that voice. There is a lesser maybe faux alter ego's voice that's employed to bounce ideas off of or used for introspection, to humble myself, conceptualization, etcetera, but it can only talk to myself even out loud. If there's another person present they're only talking to primary.
Where I differ from many minds like other self talkers here it seems is that I have full control over the two voices employed by my ego, and if I stop talking it's silent in my skull. Since I also have Total Aphantasia it's a true void in here besides my emotions and hind brain/instincts unless I'm using the voice(s). No real distinction between thinking in my head and speaking out loud.
The unconscious mind passes stuff it processes to the voices to think about. More nuance is far more paragraphs than worth, so I'll leave it there.
I feel like it'd erode my abilities over time like others say, but primarily I just find autocorrect worse than useless for efficiency. I keep disabling it every time I try on new devices.
They all shed at least a little but it's a brand thing. I buy whatever 2+ ply is on sale with no loyalty (I have bidets too) and some are definitely worse than others for debris when torn off the roll.
They're activists using Satan as a cover to do activist work pushing back on religious people and government from trampling their rights in the name of gods they don't believe in. More of a US thing really. I wish they were more active in Canada, I'd join in on the fun.
Religious freedom is the mirror they hold up to those forcing biblical law on the rest of us.
They don't actually worship Satan and I'm sure it's majority atheist or atheistic religious members like some Buddhists.
Edit: a recent example is opening abortion clinics with clinic names that are insulting to specific anti choice politicians. They do a 'lil trolling.
Fridge ice machines always break first. Just don't buy such a headache. Silicon ice cube trays are fine I don't really get how the ice machine is all that much more convenient. You have to clean them too which IMO undoes the few seconds saved not filling an ice cube tray once a week. They can also jam with fused cubes, what a PITA!

My community is still blank. I checked to make sure I didn't fat thumb selecting a language in my profile settings or a block but I don't see anything weird. :s
Edit: oh right another thing I noticed was if my piefed.ca account replies to a sticky there it's not federated, or I can't see it on my other accounts anyways.
No a couple weeks back now. I made this account last month before I realized .ca existed. None of these issues were present on .social. That's more accurate on the timeline now, edited for bad memory.
I might return to .ca later once it's more mature, kept the account. I'll check to see if anything changed later after work :)
I tried piefed.ca but it was pretty broken. Importing filter blocks will cause internal server errors and fail every time. Some communities including the emulation community I moderate on sh.itjust.works show up blank except stickies. Constant random connection errors similar to lemmynfsw.
I've always been pretty careful by nature, even as a child. There's some close calls since I was outdoors a lot in the 90's hanging out in the forests and river valley, but nothing really bad happened. So I only have one standout story aside from boring scrapes and knocks from that time.
I made it to twelve years of age before I stepped on a log at a survival camp heading back from canoeing in a pond with a lady friend I met at camp. The log turned out to be hollow and full of bees suddenly very angry with me. Got about ~20 stings on the leg that went through the log since I was wearing shorts. A few up my shirt as I fled screaming profanity.
They were on me instantly, but didn't chase me very far thankfully. I don't react to stings much so it wasn't sore for very long. Or I don't remember the pain well because I was still swooning from getting my first smooch on said pond canoe ride....which might explain why I stepped on said log without looking too close. I'm sure there would've been bees around it. ¯(ツ)_/¯
I'm not really all that bothered. Unlike movies, new start ups for making games happen a lot. When the greedy giants topple, like a forest something grows in the new patch of sunlight.
unarc.dll and ISDone.dll are common culprits with Fitgirl on Linux I think in an unresolved YMMV situation.
Try DODI instead.
