Last game I played was astrodle, more or less an idle/clicker game but there is an end in which you become a god/goddess. Soooo I think I'd do fantastic!
I left a family member's number in my phone, but once I got a new phone I didn't move it over. I've got other things outside of their phone number if I wish for sentimentality.
This is why I like what I do, although not impossible to have robots/AGI do it, it definitely won't be first in line due to the mix of labor, thinking/workarounds, and custom work/fixes needed. You'd need a sufficiently high functioning robot with good AGI and stellar fine motor controls.
I do agree though. It'll likely make upperclass society way more luxury and less effort while the lower class wouldn't see much to ease their way of life but might get some neat stuff to play with. There'd be a good argument for never developing fully automated systems to remove work from the people. Keeping people working gives the ruling class more power and takes away the lower class's time and energy. Very beneficial for them if their intent is to keep power. It also allows them to control scarcity and ensure fiat money continues to exist. Keeping money around as an idea in a technically possible post scarcity world ensures a way to divide who is better off and how able you are to control others.
The plank of tenths. At my work we have a hammer and 2X4 (plank of tenths) that we use on.....uncooperative fixtures. It has a little face on it and the fraying wood is it's hair. After all the bolts are tightened (or mostly so) it may be just out of spec so, a few "words of encouragement" from the plank of tenths can fixer right up.
We have a tolerance to hold of .0005 inches (one-tenthousandths of an inch = .0001, so 5 Tenths is the total tolerance)
I got absolutely consumed by Dead cells. I put more hours into it in a few months than I did a game I've been playing with a friend for 5 years at the time. There's another game in the same Genre that I can't rember the name of, but the high skill, PVE games like those if they catch my eye, oof, I go HARD.
Well, isn't it exciting? We may just witness a second crash! /S
But for real, it's getting really bad again, it doesn't seem sustainable and I honestly expected something to crack by now, but it hasn't. The longer it gets delayed the worse it's gonna be
Oh there definitely was as far as why the business went down, I just clipped it. But it caused one side of my family to be permanently removed from our lives as well. Though the increased stressors of the crash also aided in that whole deal
One parent had a growing business when I was super young, they brought home well into the 6 figures. However two things happened 1: the internet started getting bigger so that started to hurt their business and 2: the 2008 housing crash happened and for a business that worked with banks on mortgages (I was too young to fully understand what the business did) it was fatal. Then we were dirt poor! The family never really recovered but after many years we did manage to get on our feet, then a parent died and shit went down hill again lmao.
I could've grown up a rich kid, instead I grew up with a family oats pot for meals. Though I'm probably a healthier grounded human for it.
I would like to add that it is beneficial for us as a species to lose men over women. Losing all but a few woman can mean the death of that society, whereas that's not true for men, as men have a much higher capacity to generate multiple offspring. I.E. If you have 50 men and 2 women the capacity to bulk the population is greatly limited, if it were 50 women and 2 men, you could effectively double the population within a year. This means it makes way more sense to let men die off over women from a species survival standpoint.
Here's a question, would you even be aware? Does one's awareness supersede time?
