The only reason in my opinion to appeal to a wider audience is because of money.

Like they can’t make a movie for the nerds of the series, otherwise it would turn regulars off. They can’t make a game too hard, or, as in FF7 Rebirth, they made a character, who is a total asshole in the original, into a loving and caring person and rewrite stuff to fulfill this narrative.

Also, is diversity really this important? I was watching Thor Love and Thunder and despite the movie being genuinely bad (I walked out of the cinema about an hour in) I just didn’t like that the ancient nords have black women in leading positions. It’s just… no.

I’ve been using windows on ARM since the X1 Processor. Games that are optimised for it, like WoW, run perfectly smooth. But even games using the android subsystem run very bad. The ARM code is just not optimized enough. Apple ARM on the other hand has Whisky, which is like wine, but stronger. Well, my M1 chip on my MacBookAir gets up to a respectable 80°C, but it works smooth until then.

Is there any anime where the main character is just a total unpredictable asshat? Like Voyager in the Xenosaga series? I’m fed up of all the happy endings and friendliness and main character people pleaser who doubts himself. Give me a flawed main character I want to hate, but make him relateable enough that I can not hate him!
