  • I’m not “talking like” anything, nor am I criticizing you— I simply asked you questions which you seem to be unable to or refusing to answer— and claiming to be incapable of comprehending.

  • lol @ windows users and their precious viruses. so cute.

  • it’s pretty straightforward… what part do you not understand? the part about facing consequences for your actions, or how that doesn’t make you a victim?

  • If I should be restricted to not criticize the instance then why are you criticizing me?

how did I criticize you by asking you to explain your logic?

I’m a smaller unit than the instances so according to you I weren’t supposed to be able to be criticized.

in what way is that true if you have the same ability to create your instance with your own rules and standards?

and you still haven’t answered my question: who are you to demand (or even to criticize) others for running an instance according to their own ethics and standards simply because you disagree, especially when you are free to run one by your own?

  • they really are, though. authoritarianism is a sociopolitical organizational concept. fascism is a political ideology. I suggest that you do some reading on the subject.

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

Authoritarianism is a political system characterized by the rejection of political plurality, the use of strong central power to preserve the political status quo, and reductions in the rule of law, separation of powers, and democratic voting.[1][2] Political scientists have created many typologies describing variations of authoritarian forms of government.[2] Authoritarian regimes may be either autocratic or oligarchic and may be based upon the rule of a party or the military.[3][4] States that have a blurred boundary between democracy and authoritarianism have some times been characterized as "hybrid democracies", "hybrid regimes" or "competitive authoritarian" states.

edit: Soviet Communism was also authoritarian, but it was far-left in its political ideology. no reasonable person would call it fascist, which is far-right.

just because all fascism is authoritarian doesn’t me all authoritarianism is fascism just like how all water is liquid but that doesn’t mean all liquid is water.

  • facing the consequences of your actions is not a state of victimhood.

  • counterpoint: you’re FREE to simply start your own instance and run it how you like? who are you to demand (or even to criticize) others for running an instance according to their own ethics and standards simply because you disagree, especially when you are free to run one by your own? do they not have the same freedom to do so as do you?

  • iced milk is okay as long as you drink it before the ice melts. then, ew.

or you can blend it, then it’s a milk smoothie!

  • ugly

  • you’re thinking of authoritarian/authoritarianism— and while fascism is inherently authoritarian, the two are discrete concepts.

  • long story short: a nuke (even many) has only a tiny fraction of the power of a hurricane, so if you nuked a hurricane, not only would it have very little-to-no effect, now you’d have a hurricane full of deadly radiation contaminating everything it came into contact with.

  • pay my debts, a full medical workup, some minor dentistry, then invest wisely after getting some financial advice from a professional advisor because I don’t really know what I’m doing.

  • well, this is certainly a c/daystrominstitute post if I’ve ver read one!

too bad there’s no M-1 bot, or I’d nominate it for post of the week!

  • there were a couple of times on DS9 when Quark and Nog flippantly refer to the Federation in similar terms, but they’re quick, throwaway lines and easy to miss.

  • All of this “anti CRT” revisionist bullshit revolves around the concept that teaching the history of racism in America must be avoided because it hurts the feelings of white children to know that white people have a history of being racists. So, the solution is, apparently, never to tell them that.

    It's pretty fucking disgusting.
