What are the best options for computers that explicitly support linux operating systems?

  • System76 manages their own distro. I would start with them.

    Lenovo and others have Linux-targeted models. I would look at those. That’s not to say all think pads work well with linix, just the ones that are aimed at Linux support.

  • It’s not their solution to fix housing. This is doing whatever they can to prevent more people from slipping farther into full-blown homeless. Once you get to that point, statistically you’re not coming back from it, and it becomes incredibly expensive for taxpayers too. So yeah, allowing car camping should be in the table.

    If you’re concerned about theft, a phone will immediately be reset or discarded, while a tag or two might be missed.

    Also the power requirements for anything that uses gps and cellular radio are going to add a lot of heft.

    This is a solved problem, you’re adding requirements that aren’t needed.
