  • Is it really so crazy to think that it might have always existed? I mean, it is very bold of us to assume that it is not possible to not have a starting point when there is so much we just don't know. We barely understand the physics of our universe when things start to get wonky.

  • That's when we figure out that this is the path that lead him to flip flop completely hating everything you taught. You went back to stop Hitler only to be the thing that caused his reign of terror. Life would have that kind of irony.

  • Nas, Media server, device auto backups to nas, game server, chatgpt instance, Lemmy instance, a website, wiki, nextcloud, pihole, or home assistant.

If you intend to collect/store data or make more servers, a nas would probably be a good idea to have.

  • Seems too good to be true, I bought 12 of them refurbished for around that price. EBay has the money back guaranteed, so if you are willing to try it with the chance with it, it could be a great deal. Your call though.

  • That's how I started out too. You pick a few things here and there, next thing you know a few years later you build a server capable of storing half a petabyte of data. The important thing is to know when it starts becoming a problem. I am at 216 tb now, but I should be good for years to come.

  • Are you sure? You're missing quite the opportunity! Think of the variety of things you could be doing? Doing the tech work while ALSO being a sales guy, HR, the maintenance jocky, and accountant? You would be AN ADMIN. Think of the potential money you could make in a few years!
