  • Dude I knew Sync had fanboys but the shit I have seen today is absolute insanity.

  • HAIL, MY BOOST BRETHREN!

  • Yeah I used boost, paid for premium and used it for years. Will be more than happy to do so again once it's out but I'm not into this subscribing to an app bullshit. Let me pay for it outright. I am not down to rent apps any more than I am okay with renting the phone it runs on.

  • $16 a year is not nothing, it's a subscription service for a basic mobile app with quality options in a competing space. A one time purchase that means I own the app outright or a lifetime "subscription" option is a much better option, and on par with literally every competing app in the space. Mentalities like this are why shit like NBA 2K, Call of Duty, and Diablo have become lootbox fests.

  • Highly recommend thunder or Connect as well if you aren't satisfied with liftoff. I've used all (I think?) The android apps and those two go back and forth for my favorite. Thunder looks slickest but connect is the most stable and easy to navigate imo.

  • I'm using Sync right now and honestly it's not much better than thunder or Connect which are free. The UI is slicker, but I feel my phone heating as it runs, and it's obnoxious seeing the gray boxes from the ads I'm blocking. Really hope boost doesn't pull this shit, or at least allows people to play for premium instead of fucking subscribing to it. $16 a YEAR for an app that just mobilizes a free online service is insanity.

I never used sync previously, but this has made a pretty bad first impression so far.

  • I have family that works in visual effects and have worked on a lot of reality shows. To say shoes are scripted is putting it ridiculously mildly. Entire episode runs are planned out, meticulously. Almost nothing is left to chance/genuine.

  • I think you're the one that just wants me to "stfu" but you don't want to say it directly.

Yes, that would be great. Stfu. Please. Thank you.

You don't have to listen, you don't have to be here for any of the conversations.

You seem to have missed the extreme irony in saying this whole replying to a sub comment a week after it was posted by someone who agreed with me.

  • The post is a week old, but regardless, people have had their time to grieve and process. Your friends and family were there for you, they let you vent, they helped you make the transition away from your partner...but they're gone. It's time to move on. Let it go. You're stuck in denial while most people have made it all the way to acceptance. Everyone is ready for you to stfu about your ex.

You're also reading too much into the analogy. This isn't really an ex, it's a link aggregating website and online forum. Just like nobody cared if you deleted your myspace, your Facebook, digg, Tumblr, TikTok, YouTube, etc...nobody really cares that you deleted your reddit account.

  • Thanks for all you do! Can someone (either you or someone that knows) post a link to your funding page? I've been meaning to set up a donation since this is my preferred instance but haven't got around to it. Missing it all. Weekend is a good reminder!

  • RedZone is my preferred way to watch. Some people find it too jarring and die hards want to watch only their team but to me having the entire day with no commercial breaks is an absolute game changer.

For out of market games though, your options are Sunday ticket or streams. I use sportsurge (.net or .io are both good) if there's a game I want that isn't one of the prime time games.

  • Been there. Happened to me in grad school but I woke up to a bat on my leg. Thing with bats ks you can't tell if they bit you because their teeth leave little baby pinpricks that look like damn near everything else that bites, including mosquitoes.

I got a bill for $13,000. Basically 1000 for every shot to the ass they gave me. I had to pay it from my student loans. Yay America.

  • This article is dumb. It grasps at straws and seems to completely overlook the fact that union contracts have to be voted on by their members. If the tank and file aren't happy with this deal, it won't pass.

"Only an 18%" raise over four years is 4.5% per year. It doesn't matter if it doesn't keep up with inflation, that's still a hell of a guarantee. Very few raises are keeping up with inflation, mine included.

It also complains about $23 for part timers and seems to suggest it's not enough to make ends meet....of course it isn't. It's a part time job. $23 is $8 above minimum wage, like what is this trash?

  • It must be hard going through life being this big of a fucking idiot.

  • This is what I wish more lemmings would grasp. I've commented before how there's this disillusionment that reddit actually died when a bunch of people left. It didn't. The sooner everyone can stop being in denial about that, the better.

The situation is really more akin to an abusive ex and the people that left realizing that they're better off without them. You're in a better place. Stop talking about, focusing on the drama that your ex brought and just embrace your newer better environment.

Millions of people are in that situation and don't leave because they've been manipulated, they're scared, and in this case addicted. My brother in law switched from Apollo to the official app and hates it, complains every day, and says reddit sucks now...but won't leave.

  • Most of the foods that existed before the refrigerator was invented!

  • I don't think the commenter is saying/said Elon isn't successful. What the commenter is saying is that Elon is successful at funding other people ideas and then taking credit for them as his own. Essentially, it would be like the producer of a small movie that becomes a huge hit taking credit for the entire movie despite having very little to do with it. Didn't write it, didn't direct it, didn't cast it, didn't market it, etc etc etc.

The flip side is along the lines of what you are saying. That movie may have gotten made without that producer, and may have been just as big a hit without them ever touching it....but we'll never know because that producer recognized the potential and funded it and is now permanently tied to it. And, because they produced it, they made a shit load of money as well. You can't say that producer isn't a successful one, even if they also somehow deluded themselves into think they are the world's best director, writer, casting director etc at the same time.

  • I would not have thought that was a one star review based on the text. It kinda sounds like glowing praise.
