  • Here's the misleading part:

Tap on one of those "while in use" apps. You'll see there is no option "allowed all the time." It doesn't exist.

"while in use" is top level, and changes to "while using the app" when you actually look at the permission. They really mean when the app is running. And many often run in the background.

  • Unfortunately, though, they are mostly based out of the US, which means instead of innovating (which is what I think he was implying) they will just make shit more miserable for everyone, but mostly for those in the US. Until US people learn to stop spending money on companies doing harm, we're fucked. Examples are drastic price increases, cracking down on password sharing, and shelving "costly" media instead of trying to improve service.

Just a side note, I haven't personally paid for these services for a long time

  • Sorry for being suspicious.

That guy is like Joe Rogan. Acts like he's just asking questions or observing, but is bias in most content and whose perspective is shared (tactfully sprinkling neutral pieces in between).

From how once beautiful cities are allowing drugs and homelessness to run rampant (this trump talking point was the video that first made him famous), to how border crossing is terrible and human trafficking is a bane on our society due to inaction, to how welfare is ruining rural America, and a video disparaging the use of masks during covid. New York Post and Daily Mail regularly do articles based on his content.

You're not getting insight into other places or people like he implies. You're getting what he thinks you should see. He's another Joe Rogan.

  • Sorry if I'm missing sarcasm, but this has been a big deal for several years. Planning started under Obama!

Here's my guess. The main mission structure and Time line were announced and detailed under Trump admin in like 2017. But since he dominates and generates near constant stupid headlines, it probably filtered away in a matter of hours. Same with each time a launch has occurred I suppose. Another aspect is that space x is heavily involved, so left leaning circles probably aren't super excited as they would be?

Edit: I just saw who Peter whatever was. I think he is a disingenuous person and maybe this post is also? Or you're in a bubble that you really need to get out of

  • Changes and upgrades to the Pentagon Briefing Room are nothing new and routinely happen during changes in an administration," a Defense Department spokesperson said in a statement to CBS News.

We regularly waste taxpayer dollars like this.

    That was the reassuring argument.
