  • Just a wee selection of my block list: bots, thirst traps, bitcoin bro, invest bros, marketing bros, dating stuff and far too much gambling.

I mean twitter must be down on ad revenue by the amount of gambling sites I block alone. Surely I was just about to sign up and gamble on the big South match between the irresistible Portsmouth v the unmovable object that is Southhampton.

  • I feel like the advertiser would rather I engage with their betting site instead of me blocking them. I get such trashy looking betting adverts now, none of the major betting shops as they are blocked.

  • A lot could be achieved to alleviate if they did stock their cheaper brands at the smaller or more convenient shops but that's going to get in the way of profit.

Didn't tescos try to set up Jack's, a UK version of Aldi and then abandoned it? I don't have much faith in them.

  • Flashlight is essential for winter in rural places, for working on cars or lighting up awkward places. I'd rather put in place a torch or flexi torch and have it fall over instead of my mid range phone which may lead to the screen scratching. Generally too, using my phone where I need a torch simply exposes my phone to risks.

  • A three pin plug is just the UK standard plug, it has three pins on it, with the top pin being longer than the other two which engages firsts and prevents electrocution. They are also fused instead of the actual wall socket.

  • The OCR thing is simply there because it's there from another stream of letters and the same template has been used.

I'm always tickled pink working in local governance to see how certain procedures and policies simply continue because someone said 'let's do it this way' and its stuck. Everyone is too busy dealing with the next thing, that the 'it's not broken, don't fix it' mantra prevails.
