  • Prepare for every single minor tech problem he has to become your problem. You'll spend more time helping him than doing your own job. This may or may not be downside, depending on how much you like your job.

  • Click the share button (little circle connected to two other little circles), click More, copy the huge text description, and the clean short link will be in there.

HDMI Multiviewer Switch 4x1 with PIP, PORTTA Quad Multi Viewer Seamless Switcher 4 in 1 Out with Toslink, 3.5mm Audio Output Support 1080p 60Hz, 6 Viewing Modes, Downscaler, compatible with PS4 Xbox https://a.co/d/i5tXg82

  • More stable, has all the required features, but can break down without warning with cryptic messages about what's wrong. Needs a little more testing and development before moving into the real world. So basically...teenagers.

  • It's not about profitability. It's about the extraordinary expense to discourage at best a minor misdemeanor that costs relatively very little in comparison. You could probably achieve the same effect paying one cop to monitor random stations and fine people as the do it. There are much more important things that cops could be doing that's actually worth spending $150 million. Or you could just divert a fraction of that money to subsidize public transit.

  • That's how social media was invented. I remember when computers were things that only geeks and nerds were into. And then Neverending September happened, and suddenly normies were everywhere on the internet. We create something new to congregate, and they just invite themselves in after we make it popular. MySpace, Facebook, Reddit...even IRC and Geocities were taken over by them. We eventually took back Usenet at least, but only because it stopped being free for most people.

  • You assume the trolley existed to begin with. There's no guarantee that Ozymandias' predictions were right. We've been there before, in real life, and turned it back. Nothing says that wouldn't have happened in their world as well. That's why he's not actually a good guy...he took away the option to choose, and killed millions in the process.

  • Only if it was meant as an insult. Usually there has to be several comments trying to argue with me before the insults come out. I appreciate when people ask how I'm doing in a non-confrontational way. I'd assume that statement wasn't meant as an insult, but I've been wrong before.

  • Was called it a lot as a kid, I took it and made it my own. Now it let's me know who to block when someone has literally nothing left to their argument that they have to resort to using my username as an insult.

  • I learned a long time ago that the manufacturer doesn't matter much on the long run. They all have a bad model occasionally. I have 500GB Seagate drives that still work, and some 1TB drives that died within a year. I've had good luck with recent WD Red 4TB drives, but my 2TB Green drives have all died on me. I had a some of the Hitachi Deskstar drives that worked perfectly for years when no one would touch them because of a bad production run. I currently have a Toshiba 8TB that I had never heard of before, but seems to be rock solid for the last year.

Pick a size that you want, look at what's available, and research the reasonably priced ones to see if anyone is complaining about them. Review sites can be useful, but raw complaints in user forums will give you a better idea of which ones to avoid.
