It's only select movies that I'm getting in 4K, and any Star Trek that comes out in 4K or maybe the Star Wars 4K77 fan edit that was just released. But even then, they add up fast. I can barely tell the difference, but for some stuff I just want the best available.
Edit: I also did this when 720p VS 1080p was a thing. For a vast majority of stuff, 720p is fine and I'm not going to update that stuff. Most stuff released today isn't even available or 720p anymore, so I've defaulted to 1080p for most new stuff.
I already am self hosting everything. I have an 8TB drive over half full at the moment, and filling up fast now that I have a 4K TV. I also have an Openvpn server so that I can access my content when I'm away. I've had this setup since before torrents were even a thing.
Am I the only one that still just uses a VPN with Pirate Bay and Magnetdl? I only download videos and music, no games, and I'm finding 98%of what I want in the resolution I want. Is it really worth setting up the rest of it?
Do you know that 316 grade stainless steel exists, and that sea water has nothing to do with a truck that was rained on for 2 days? Seriously, bringing up irrelevant shit does not make your argument better...
If Pat is problematic, how is treating Link the same way not a problem? Especially since we know Link's full story and that he is not trans in any way? At least Pat was progressive enough to show two people of unclear gender and sexuality in a happy monogamous relationship even though everyone around them was treating them like a joke. That was pioneering for the time, and is part of the reason why trans and other non-cis people are becoming mainstream today as the Gen X and early Millennials like me grew up with that and are now gaining positions of influence.
Link on the other hand is definitely male, and has never been shown to display anything but male behaviors despite looking slightly androgynous. But that's more because he also belongs to an Elf-like race that are typically dipicted more androgynous. Then again, he's also a video game character and not a real person, so he likely has no opinion about how he's depicted. So I guess it's ok to make jokes about him being trans? That's probably more of a question for actual trans people.
It didn't require steel wool, it just made the job faster. A green scrubby has done the same job. The stainless steel sink didn't rust just because it was touched by something rusty for 2 days. And it definitely doesn't rust just by holding water for 2 days.
You're now just twisting this into irrelevant bullshit. Have a nice day.
Not after 2 days. High grade stainless steel, which these trucks are obviously not using, will take a lot longer than that even with abuse. That's the entire point of stainless steel.
I've given no examples of how stainless steel can rust. You gave the example to start with that had something else rusting and touching stainless steel. High grade stainless steel will not rust after 2 days.
Stop trying to twist things to make your argument look better. It isn't working...
The stainless steel didn't rust. The cast iron pan was accidentally left on the corner of the sink for a weekend with a little water under it. The rust wiped off very easily, because it was transfered from the iron into it, which is all that's happening as long as it's not left there for a significant amount of time.
The truck was driven in rain, with no snow or salt involved, and began rusting after 2 days. That's a low grade of stainless steel to rust that fast.
I have. I scrubbed the rust off with steel wool. As long as you don't leave rusted iron against stainless steel for years, it's fine. And that's not what's happening here.
You're comparing 10 years of rough abuse with metal being thrown into them constantly as well as all the acids and salts used in cooking against a year of just existing outside.
Edit: it's not even a year outside...it was 2 days.
One Cybertruck Owners Club forum member says they started noticing small orange flecks appearing on his truck after driving it in the rain for just two days.
