Oh, yeah I understand. Im sure you could do that. In its current form it is pretty straightforward how you do it, I wouldnt necessarily dispense with it. It is Unixlike to use multiple software.

I would mainly suggest orgmode as it will continue to stay "just a file". It is made to be pretty interpretable by its own right, dont need to be in emacs to understand it. Emacs can run from terminal with emacs -nw. Emacs also has a vimlike complete overhaul called spacemacs.

I think there are not strictly emacs based ways to use org. Probably in vim.

I dont see any kind of merit in educating the person. I usually see that people are too set in their ways, they dont have enough plasticity for this.

Those statements are not even in the same context. I have a basic level of respect I give and any more than that is expedient. If they dont respect that, then those are the fuckups that make it sure that I will never ever go out of my way just to please people.

I didnt say I dont give them respect. I said I dont go out of my way to not cause tears. If for some reason they suspect me of malicious misgendering, and start bitching about it, they can just piss off. I dont misgender, except for comical purposes.

In places where assumptions cause kneejerk downvotes and comments like you explained, I wont take the time to make sure to be 100% respectful towards people.

That never worked out for me. People feel attacked regardless. They might not comment (in any meaningful way) as they have no way of reflecting on my argument, but they still downvote.

I think its pretty self explanatory that we are already in an echo chamber since I never fucking said anything about what my political beliefs are. The current lemmy community is kind of okay to keep up with the events in the world, but still dogshit. And I want to look at the conservative bullshittery even less.

I have high standards.

99% of lemmy is: bashing and memeing rich, companies, conservatives. Posting outrage and celeb articles. Honestly these issues are not even on my mind a fraction as much as it is for most guys here.

As of right now, even main lemmy sites like technology is not even about technology but this bullshit "how Musk fucked over twitter at this moment". And look at that. Wasnt this trend taken 1:1 from reddit. I cant clean up properly because this spam keeps leaking into my feed. I cant subscribe to my only preferred communities as they are too small.
