  • In the short term, custom tailoring seems like the best option. Yes it is expensive, but, if you want things to fit right, it is the best short-term solution.

Managing my life with these proportions has become nearly impossible, as every movement is difficult

However, the long term solution is to start losing that weight you picked up. You didn't have this issue before, and you won't after getting back to a more normal weight.

  • Make sure you put two line breaks between every new line. Otherwise it kinda comes out as a blob. You can also use a dash and a space before each entry to get a bullet point.

Played a copy of Crash Team Racing a bit ago. Had a real good time with it.

  • Sounds like bringing your passport solves the problem completely. Something that has always been a good idea.

  • Reseat the button cell for the bios?

This is a good one too! And if you have a volt-meter, see if it's low (or just replace it if you have a spare).

  • Since it is something with the computer itself and not the OS, some things to try:

    • Check for any motherboard status lights.
    • Reseat your RAM.
    • Run a memtest. Let it do a full pass, takes ~3 hours. If you see anything more than a single error, it's the RAM.
    • Reset your BIOS to factory settings.
    • Update your BIOS.
    • Reset your CMOS.
    • As redxef said, unplug from the wall, hit the power button a few times to fully drain the system, then plug back in.
    • Unplug everything you possibly can. Leave just a single monitor, a single stick of RAM, the cpu, and the power cable plugged in. Literally nothing else, not even a keyboard. (You will need to keep your graphics card plugged in as the 2700x doesn't have onboard graphics)
    • Swap to a different single stick of RAM and put it in a different slot.
    • Visually inspect for any exploded or bulging capacitors.
    • If you have gotten to here, swap in any spare parts you have from the prior list. Different graphics card, different ram stick, different monitor, different cpu or mobo if you have one.
    • Unplug/replug your internal power cables, and unplug any unnecessary internal cables (fans, rgb, etc) (Is it this? Probably not, but we are getting to the desperate part of the list.)
    • Reseat your CPU (don't forget to clean off and re-apply thermal paste)
    • Cry a little

The goal is to narrow down which piece of hardware is failing.

  • The Framework 12 has a touchscreen, which the OP wants. I have the 13 and can vouch for it's quality and upgradibility.

Though, OP also only wants to spend 300€ max used, so, both of our posts are out of the running.

  • Yet tesla stock goes up. LOL.

How the fuck is the stock rising?

It's down quite a bit this year:

  • These exact reasons are why places like Buc-ees, Sheets, and Chick-fil-A are doing so damn well. People actually feel like they are getting something they want (good, fast, and/or cheap), when compared to McDs which somehow provides none of them.

  • Last time I went, waited 20 min for 'fast food', then got hit with a large bill. Yeah, no shit sales are down. Haven't gone back in years.

  • Make a textfile you sync between your devices. Save the URL, book name, or whatever; each on a new line.

So tags and the option to filter them would be nice!

You can tag them at will. Put "#TagName" next to an entry and later you can ctrl-f "#TagName" (or anything else) in the file. Notepad++, grep, and other tools will even give you a list of everything that matched your search criteria if you want to see all items that match at once.

I like to keep things simple!

  • Just keep participating. Other platforms will occasionally explode, people will look here, and if they see activity, many will stay.

If you look at active user charts for Lemmy, basically every time Reddit explodes, Lemmy picks up permanent users.

  • no distro is best

And the nice thing is this isn't like MacOS vs Windows. Knowledge gained in one distro is transferable to other distros. Just pick one and get started, you can always change later if you wish.

  • Ok, he actually did a good job with the sponsor slot, writing a script for it complete with ascii art.

    • This has been my yearly allotment of saying nice things about an ad.
  • Always love seeing popular people talking about/pushing it. The biggest thing desktop Linux was missing in the past was a critical mass of users. And, It seems to have gotten that critical mass now.

  • Picked it up, excited to try it out. :)

For linux people, if you are having troubles launching it, add the following environment variable to the game (if you are using the Heoric launcher, it's in the game-specific settings menu under Advanced): WINEDLLOVERRIDES=ddraw=n,b;dinput=n,b

  • If by hypersonic missile they mean ‘the standard ballistic missiles everyone has had since the 60s’ then, sure.

  • This game looks pretty solid. Worth playing?

  • No, it's a small enough problem everywhere in the US that putting any real thought into "will people reject me because of my skin" (as OP asks) is overthinking it.

  • Categories most would recognize are 'asian', 'black', 'white', and sometimes 'hispanic' or 'middle eastern'. Most people aren't going to get much more specific than that.

  • The racism you see on the news certainly exists, but remember what you see on the news is news because it is rare. You don't see every obituary and car crash, because such common occurrences aren't news.

It is something I wouldn't put too much thought into regardless of your race.
