It's only a 'fair analogy' if you're comparing two things you own. You make videos for Tiktok. They own that content, not you.

Some of us are just here because they killed our app. Don't assume everyone is here for the same 'moral' reasons you are.

You completely missed my point obviously. I'm trying to get you to consider what "intelligence" actually means. Is intelligence the ability to learn? Make decisions? Have feelings? Outside of humans, what else possesses your definition of intelligence? Parrots? Mice? Spiders?

I'm not comparing LLMs to human complexity, nor do I particularly give a shit about them in my daily life. I'm just trying to get you to actually examine your definition of intelligence, as you seem to use something specific that most of our society doesn't.

I would argue that humans also frequently give bad advice and incorrect information. We regurgitate the information we read, and we're notoriously bad at recognizing false and misleading info.

More important to keep in mind is that the vast, vast majority of intelligence in our world is much dumber than people. If you're expecting greater than human intelligence as your baseline, you're going to have a wildly different definition than the rest of the world.

That definition would also apply to teaching a baby to walk.

That said, you have to be a blind to think they aren't shameless Pokemon knockoffs. It goes far beyond mere passing similarities, most pals are assembled from chopped up Pokemon (quite thematically appropriate I suppose). Sounds like you haven't actually looked at any of it then apparently. There's a reason the main people speaking out about it are literally industry professionals. Even my rather meager experience with creating mods and design models for 3D printing is plenty of experience to make those comparisons myself. If you're going to act like you have any knowledge or authority on this subject you should probably have some idea what you're talking about.

That's entirely missing the only reason Nintendo would actually pursue legal action. Many Palworld creatures appear to have literally identical base model proportions to Pokemon models. So exactly identical it's hard to believe it could happen once by chance, much less with over a dozen different creatures. It very strongly appears they took and modified straight Pokemon models, or at best used them as a direct reference.

How can you possibly be so confident they didn't pull models from Pokemon? It's absolutely a possibility, and frankly seems impossible not to be true when you directly compare the models.

My experience has been the opposite. The boomers think it's gonna do everything for them, and the young people I know think it's gonna destroy the world.

The same can be said about any random piece of human created art.

Taking away dairy subsidies would drive up milk and milk product prices, pushing more people to buy alternatives instead. Any loss of employment in the dairy industry is balanced by new jobs in manufacturing plant milks and dairy alternatives. This isn't people being replaced by robots, it's cows being replaced by plants. You still need pretty much the same workforce to package and distribute it regardless.

That's how the modern DnD community has been using it, but that's absolutely not what it means. It's just been kinda lost since 5e has basically no options to "Min" anymore. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, most games had options to take flaws that further reduce stats or add other complications in exchange for better base stats or more feats.
