stock tumbles down like a burning fireball of shit
...I'm kinda wondering where bottom is on this. /biz/ on 4chan have been mentioning it as a potential meme stock to join GameStop and Bed Bath and Beyond.
Why do I feel like giving this a month will make all of this irrelevant?
but this is a crime against God, humanity, gaming and anime!!!!
I get it, your favorite game doesn't work because of a new release. It happens. Take a ticket and sit down for a while. Valve isn't omniscient about every Linux build in existence or possible glitch on the first week of release.
Hell, TF2 has been broken on arch for almost a month without bypassing a .dll file.
I mean, if you're on the fringe of wanting to play things that are almost incompatible with the system, sure?
I don't really touch Epic, Ubisoft or EA. They don't really offer anything I'd deem fun. I played COD, I like CS and TF2 more. Lucky me. Roblox also looks like my definition of "jank", and it's never interested me. We have Gmod and Minecraft. All good here for janky fun.
I do have one tiny hole in my gaming portfolio on deck. Stalker: GAMMA. The only real viable method of installing it would be to install Call of Pripyat, then copy my GAMMA install from my PC's Windows partition. Doable, I'm just lazy and I've got more than enough to enjoy as-is.
I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game has a clear, crisp gameplay, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the style a big boost. It's been compared to Valve, but I think Riot has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
If I don't want to be located, I know how not to be.
But if I'm in my home, expected to be in my home, belong in my home and I'm doing home stuff, I'm not entirely that caring about who knows I am. I also don't think it's that big a deal if the government knows I'm in a bookstore, or work.
But yeah, if I was hiding a body, I'd probably take my shitbox Acura that's disconnected from everything but the ground, and I'd leave my phone at home, tied to my cat with string so it looks like I'm cleaning.
In feudalism, you know full well you're being exploited. In capitalism, you might not be aware of it, but you still are. The idea is that you're being paid for your work but, if the pay is so little that it might as well not matter to the payer at all, and is hardly a living wage, then we're essentially back at square one.
Granted, I don't think we're as close to the grain of outright slavery that feudalism was, but on a long enough timeline, we will be. Companies will want more and more profit, taking more and more from the consumers and working class. People will either fight back or... put up with it.
