Lots of people make excuses, but if they really sat down and thought about it without any internalized transphobia they'd realize it's actually because they want to be a girl more than anything else.

I like girls so much I became one in real life 🏳️‍⚧️

If you need a way to escape reality and you choose to be a girl, you might not be as male or hetero as you think, Just sayin...🥚 🏳️‍⚧️

I think it's very likely you're trans and there's nothing wrong with that, it's important to come out and accept yourself and realize that these are signs you might not be as cis as you thought you were.

Gender is not bullshit, gender is real and trans people are real. Stop spreading stupid anti-trans rhetoric. People who feel and express a certain gender are more likely to be that gender, even if that gender doesn't align with their assigned gender at birth.

You should learn about Tor just in case you have to buy your hormones from underground from .onion sites. Also helps in case they start censoring information on it, or trying to track users who look that stuff up.

When I questioned them about the requirement they said they needed to make sure I wouldn't regret it. Asshole literally laughed when I looked him in the eye! He was lying to me about that reason, the real reason was perfectly clear to me.

They were able to diagnose me with gender dysphoria but they wouldn't give me treatment officially unless I pretended to be a woman for them, they probably really thought it would be funny for someone who looks just like a man to wear a dress and lipstick with face stubble. Right? So funny? Fuckin chasers. (Yes I'm calling my old doctor and my therapist chasers because they wanted me to dress like a woman without looking like one, they were so pissed when they saw me again post-DIY HRT)

Fuck transmedicalists, those fuckers wanted me to pretend to be a woman because it's really funny to see a man desperately pretending to be a woman or they wouldn't let me have HRT legitimately. Thankfully I was able to buy Estrogen and blockers on the black market so who's laughing now?

Because they are lazy and overconfident in their ability to determine truth from lies, AI from real human. They could set up a script or automod to stop spam, but they don't. They make excuses like this one.

It's worse than not ideal, it hurts the ability to use Lemmy as a social media, as an alternative for Reddit. Turning it into a private club hurts this place because without people, especially the normies who make jokes and upvote posts this place is dead.

I mean those efforts are great but if the flow of people onto the platform is bottlenecked it doesn't do as much good as it could. And since a majority of all Lemmy servers are pushing for applications effectively turning all the current instances into clubs that will ultimately effect how many people will be here to have an interest in communities in the first place.

Yeah and Lemmy and Mastodon at the moment but more so Lemmy seem to be working against that goal by opting for onboarding methods that are unintuitive and frustrating to normies. Opting to make people apply like this is a fucking club, and deny people if they are too boring.

Great job guys, you're really gonna get lots of engagement that way. You don't want engagement? What are you even doing wasting money on an almost empty site barely anyone is joining?

People wanting more activity than the small exclusive private club Fediverse has become isn't a trick or capitalist fallacy, they just want other people to see their fucking posts. Is that so strange and wrong? Why post things if no one is going to see them? You're seriously missing the point of a social media, if you really think having small nearly dead spaces is a good thing.

Which one? There's a lot of horrible gamer words? Is it the one that begins with R and is five letters long or a different gamer word?

You know what's terrorism, what I'm talking about when I say terrorism? Calling bomb threats on schools and hospitals because they support trans rights, talking about or encouraging people to do that. Shit like what LibsOfTiktok does is terrorism. These are the kinds of Terrorism you see on Steam, in forums, games, and live chats, awful shit that would not be considered acceptable by any decent person. It would be one thing if we were talking about nuanced takes discussing the war on Israel and people on Steam were being accused of antisemitism over "anti israilism" but that's not what's happening there. Most people on Steam discussing that are in fact being antisemitic, are in fact attacking Jewish people and Judaism, not the israeli government.

When someone points out terrorism on Steam they're talking about the death threats and bomb threats, when they talk about Steam being racist and antisemitic they aren't taking about anti-israel takes, they are talking about hatred towards jews and people of racial ethnicities. The situation here isn't nuanced it is very much the clear cut 4chan shit.

Yeah, sort of. Though they're a bit more honest since they don't even pretend to care about us. Probably hoping that if they stay quiet long enough the problem will go away and won't hurt them.
