  • Indeed, the question is how many people are ready to pay 20$ a year for Lemmy

  • Which instance would you use instead of lemmy.zip?

    From another post

            Lemmy.world is too big
sh.itjust.works names contains "shit", which can deter users
        lemmy.ca is Canadian-centric
feddit.org, is German-centric, but technically English speaking too
        dbzer0 is topic focused
        programming.dev is topic-centric
        blahaj is queer-focused
        discuss.tchncs.de has a difficult name
        lemmy.sdf.org does not defederate anyone
        beehaw defederates LW and SJW
        infosec.pub is topic-centric
        aussie.zone is country-centric
        midwest.social is region-centric

There's a reason lemm.ee was the previous default instance.

  • Curious, the offering has been around for a while

  • It will be a community by community discussion. I mod a few lemm.ee communities, we'll have separate polls in each of them.

  • There's as little incentive to host a Lemmy instance.

I am having a look at wafrn, do you have an example of a Bluesky account visible from there? I only see local accounts.

  • Gives interested people a pointer that stuff might happen soon.

Not that big of a deal anyway

  • Same here. Next time, hopefully

  • I would say it's worth it. Communities have moved to other instances after admin power tripping reports. Users have moved to other communities after mods power trips reports.
