  • Post pinning should be fixed now between Lemmy and Piefed, so if the mods unpin/repin it it should work

  • You can't. Piefed has a few more options regarding downvotes, that you may already be aware of

  • This is a full hallucination from ChatGPT.

There is no way to currently set a community to Private. The way to access settings is via a pencil icon, not a gear.

There is currently an option to limit visibility to the local instance, but that prevents anyone from another instance to participate, and does automatically grants full access to any local user.

What is possible is to only allow mods to post, but even that doesn't limit comments, and would require every member to be a mod.

  • There’s an option in the settings to change that behaviour

  • Patient gamers can also use more activity if you play games older than 1 year

  • Feeds can be personal, so you can decide how granular to you want them. So far I'm able to follow every conversation on the different topics I like, so I would say it works quite well so far.

They can be public too, but personally I prefer to customize my own.

  • Piefed partially solves that with multicommunities

That way you can follow your hobbies feeds, your tech feed, your art feed separately.

For All it would indeed be messy.

  • Login walled on Vimeo, probably aligned with the future Digg policies

  • That's indeed how it works (and that's I was able to see those comments).

It works for me, how would you like to have it differently? IIRC on old school forums a single message would also bump the thread

  • "New comments" sort helps with that

  • Happy birthday to one of the best instances around!
