  • I think I'll agree and I tend to forget that I've already filtered out posts with the keywords trmp and msk (did that about a year ago).

  • Oh, I don't use any autocorrect.😅 Does it have one? I know it has autofill, suggestions with dictionaries and spell check, but not sure if it has autocorrect.

I have all of these disabled (I only have the auto-capitalization after a period and auto period after double space).😄

Wait, are you on beta? I think they have gliding, but it is only for gestures, not typing.

  • Florisboard beta is what I use. Extremely customisable. I think the biggest things that lacks are custom background photo and text-gliding (I ~dont use any of these though).

I made it almost identical to the gboard theme I was using previously and it's so cool.

  • Lol, same

I even saw that account commenting on one of my posts, reported it and got removed

  • This is a good comparison of messengers here:

    https://eylenburg.github.io/im_comparison.htm

Btw, an imprtant aspect of privacy is how metadata are handled/leaked. Signal trues to minimize metadata leak to near zero (there are some other messengers that do that, like simplex)

  • Yo this seems to be a bad take

I think something that defines humanity is that we really try not to follow the "rules of nature", ie. the rule of the stronger over the weaker

  • I tried simplex today and it's very nice (I have signal for years and I tried to compare signal, briar, jami and simplex. Simplex turned out to be a very good solution. Though probably even fewer people use it compared to signal, so I might be alone for a while on that messenger.)

  • Oh wow, thanks for putting it into perspective! Those are very interesting stats:)

(Also lol, apparently not that many more communities are being created)

  • I didnt report that bug cuz I ~just had installed nixos on my laptop and wanted to get things working again (it was some tedious 4 days after ~4months of preparation).

Once I get enough time again (now that my system seems stable enough), I might play around and try to file a proper report(s).

(There was also another issue with file associations preventing kde apps from exporting to some types of files, like png, jpg etc. I had set some file associations, differrent from the default and somehow it caused that bug. Check the step 13. in my guide if you want more info.)

  • Yo, the amazing digital circus, it goes hard (the first episode was rather brutal💀)

  • Lol, about that, while changing keybinding on spectacle (kde app to take screenshots/screenrecording) seemed to work, changing key bindings to launch keepass, somehow de-activated the key y. I noticed that rebooting fixed it, until I pressed any keybind (even ctrl+c). I had to reset the keybindings.

Not sure exactly what is going on, but I noticed that if I opened discord it would type y continously when y was disabled.

Somehow this happened again with x when I launched outerwilds and discord.

Very weird bug, but I was too busy setting up linux to report it. I'm just being a bit hesitant to change any system keybind now😆

  • I don't game very much (just recently I started playing outer wilds though a few times per week). I feel like I probably enjoy tweaking my laptop more than actually using it.😆 I dont even code much. I like finding open source alternatives to software and generally improve my laptop. Spent about 4months learning nixos:)

I don't know, at least I might be able to help others improve their pc's too

  • I feel like this should probably be top comment here

  • It's kinda "addictive", so hard to resist the urge. Hopefully it has no negative health effects (there was that study about one who popped their knukles and found out it wasnt damaging, hopefully they are correct)

  • Ugh ouch

I dont know if I sprained mine, I remember picking up running for a few weeks (cuz I thought doing only weights wasnt the best idea) and I remember my ankles feeling sore after running. I expected it to be normal though, cuz I don't tend to run a lot (though I walk a lot). 🤷

Haven't done an xray yet, might do one day

  • I can pop my ankles almost non stop since around 2 years ago for some reason (no pain or anything), lol

  • It was worse with micro-usb in my experience

Indeed, I had to replace the micro usb port in about 4 years (and it was already mulfunctioning probably for years), while the type c port still works almost flawlessly.

About the dac, even though I dont think I can detect the difference, I remember seeing comments that the previous model of my adaptor had a bad dac (or it didnt even have one??), but they seemingly fixed it ij the new model.

(PS. I download flac songs, but I dont think I can tell the difference between a proper lossless flac and a 64kbps opus, lol. It might be bad equipment, it might be my hearing, it might be that I tend to listen at low volumes, a combo of all the above or something.)
