The app literally freezes for me now there is so much crap in it.

A microwave from 1997. I give it most of the credit for staying alive. It's a brick house.

They also started annoying the users on every load with "deals" to buy their paid version. And they do that shitty thing where they switch the intuitive nature of the yes and no buttons.

A developer is one that just codes. An engineer is one that mocks up their feature, leads meetings to explain what they are going to do and debates with others about the proposed implementation, codes it, tests it thoroughly, then answers any questions about what they made months later and diagnoses issues that QA found. Maybe you're just a code monkey, but my job is a lot more.

I worked in retail for 8 years and I occasionally pull from the front too out of habit. It gives you more notice with people when approaching aisles. I don't see the connection to it being more manly though.

Yes, this. I don't trust ANYONE on the Internet. If you want something forever you download it yourself and back it up. Even tech giants like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit will not be here forever. YouTube will just delete your videos that have been up for 13 years without warning.
