  • I still most often listen to Grunge and 90 Hard and Alt rock. According to tidal Pearl Jam is a little more than half of all my song listens every month.

Side note, I think the collective noun for Lemmy users in any music thread should be Motorheads.

  • That looks more user friendly than the solution I put together last winter.

  • If you like SG1 you should checkout Travelers on Netflix. It was created by one of the SG1 co-creators, Brad Write. The first 2 seasons are really good.

  • If everything can be contained on or in a lack, I'd say you're a master of control.

Do your organizational efforts a favor an never join a filament of the month club.

  • So far we've been printing dice on it, but once I get into printing minis I'll let you know.

  • One of my all-time favorite books. Be sure to get a good translation though.

  • "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin is the book that inspired both "Brave New World" and "1984" and my favorite of the three. If you go looking for it in paper form it's sometimes credited to Eugene Zamyatin, as Eugene is the English version of Yevgeny.

  • The other advise here is good. I'll also add that PETG really likes to pop of the bed if the temp changes. Even the breeze of someone swiftly walking by the printer could be enough to get a corner to lift.

An enclosure or tent may help; as a test maybe try a big cardboard box set over it carefully while printing.

  • So you're saying you have faith in Star Trek theme songs? Faith in the heart. You're goin' where your heart will take you?

  • We just bought an Anycubic Photon D2. We don't need a huge build plate (though the D2 is pretty big) and wanted a workhorse. The long life and lower power use were big selling points.

Edit: I also wanted to add that after useing Prusaslicer for my mk3s for years I still ended up going with Lychee slicer for SLA. I find adding supports easier even though I miss Prusaslicer's UI and polish every time I use Lychee.

  • The one that comes to mind is Geordi's eyes on Star Trek TNG. I don't know why, and I eventually got over it. But watching every new episode of TNG was sort of an tense experience wondering if the visor would come off for any reason.

  • Most of my machines, including my daily driver, run Linux. I've got one old windows laptop that I use (via NoMachine) to run Fusion360 on. And we have a 5+ year old Surface Pro that my wife uses for Dice Maker (a windows only program).

  • IMO the best communities serve a niche. Then you get a bunch of like minded members on one server and you end up with a local feed that is likely to be full of personally interesting stuff.

  • It's you or Tim, and he won't hesitate. You know the phrase a "a stitch in Tim saves nine... lives?"

  • I don't. I think post workout endorphins are a myth spread to make maintenance on our meat mechs seem more palatable. I "like" to swim, in so much as the water continuously washes the sweat off while I work out.

  • The Borg always know exactly when the bass will drop. They are immune to it.

  • Identity seems to be an issue with the fediverse. I keep 2 active accounts, one on a Lemmy server and one on a Mastodon one. It gets extra confusing when I use Mastodon to post to a Lemmy community. Then, back in Lemmy, I see me but it's not me but it is me.
